Arillas has a live community of local people that act together to organize local folklore and music festivals in various public places in Arillas.

Since June 2018, various recycling centres have been established in Corfu.
In an attempt to protect the environment, the economy and the health of the people of the surrounding villages, to support the economic activity and the jobs, far from solutions such as “landfills”, the people at a district, village, and neighbourhood level, have already undertaken initiatives to reduce the volume of their waste.
Arillas Business Association in collaboration with Arillas Cultural Initiative, the Deputy Mayor for Cleansing and Magoulades Local Council are organising a meeting on Wednesday 10 April at 19:30 at the old school to which all businesspeople and residents are invited. There will be discussion on the following topics:
The Arillas cultural Organization which is consisted by over 100 members from Arillas, Afionas and Kavadades has established that the Annual Wine Festival will be taking place this year on Saturday the 6th September 2025.
I would would like to highlight that while this is not a tourist event, visitors in the area are more than welcome to join us and experience our vibrant culture. However, keep in mind that, Greek dances are a profound expression of our joy, sorrow, and emotions. If you're unfamiliar with the dances, feel free to ask for guidance or simply watch and enjoy.

Greece has many customs and traditions related to Christmas and New Year. There are many that are common throughout the country, but there are also many that are local and not very well known.
On Saturday the 18th of June 2022 there will be this year’s first festival in Arillas. It takes place near the local Church and old school of Arillas village which is about one and a half km from the beach on the way to Magoulades on the main road.
If you need to be tested for Covid-19 by PCR test or rapid test while you are on Corfu, you may contact one of the following medical facilities. Please note that we rely on information provided on their website for this listing, and we cannot guarantee that a test can be provided at the time you may require it. We therefore strongly encourage you to contact the facilities before your trip to Corfu to confirm availability for Covid-19 PCR testing.
Some medical facilities accept arrangements to do the test at your accommodation and send you the results per email.
