" It's all "M's" folks "

Meerkats Maggie and Marcia Met in the final of the ladies singles K/O. 10 players entered and a good night was had by all. Twas a very good final with Marcia coming out the winner, against team mate Maggie, in the deciding leg. There were many good scores and some double finishing we would all be proud of.
The winner and runner up both receive an award plus a discount voucher against meat purchased from Darryl Bill,"The English Butcher" at New Perithia.

The 301 singles final has also been decided. Mick, Sunset, will face Douglas from the Three W's. Mick will be a busy man, on finals night, competing in this game, the mixed pairs final and the Team K/O final. Negg hopes he will be very tired before the mixed, for obvious reasons!

The Round Robin takes place on the 19th March and the 20th will see these finals produce worthy winners.

Reckon a few of you will recognise some of these names in our Round Robin
Hard to pick an overall winner but give it a go.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
This looks to be a very good grouping of players. And this is the final draw for Tuesday night.

Group A looks interesting with Spiros (Son of Owl) topping the table with 9 singles wins from 12.  Meerkats, Dougie, can spring surprises here with a 50% singles strike rate.

Group B is headed by Xrisanthos winning 20 of his 25 singles. Andy has 12 wins from 15 so they are the ones to beat. A hard group with Kostas, 12 from 16, and Sally who has a ladies singles win under her belt and has also reached the mixed pairs final. Pam may replace Sally here and don't forget she won the mixed pairs, last Winter with Owl's Nickos.

Group C has Marcia, current ladies singles winner, but the favourite is Mikalis with a 75% singles record. Neill and Yiorgos, I'm sure will punish any mistakes the other two make.

Group D has Capt. Bob, singles/pairs strike rate of 70% and also Stathis on a 7 from 10 singles average. Don't forget Petros who has taken some mighty scalps this year and Maggie who seems to play better singles than pairs, winning 4 of her games this Winter.

If any player fails to turn up then a "Wild Card" draw, already made, is Paul Owl as first replacement. Any other "Wild Cards" necessary is made from any league players present that wish to compete.

See groups on next post

ABC or D may the best woman or man win. Not biased but a lady would be nice.

Good luck everyone.

" Not another bl***y Lewis????? "

First we have PDC's Adrian "Jackpot" Lewis and now we have......
. .....Mick "No Prisoners" Lewis, who like his professional counterpart loves to win titles and prize money is irrelevant.
(It is in our League, anyway, as we don't have any!)

Last night, at Sunset Agios Stephanos, Mick beat Doug, Three W's, by 3-2 taking the "Chinatown" 301 singles knock out title. It was a good final with both players scoring well and on a 301 there is no margin for error.
Especially when Mick just misses a 151 out, scraping the double top wire with his 3rd dart.

Mick then went on to win the "Jinksy Duo" mixed pairs final, with partner Fiona, by 3-1. Negg and Sally take the runners up spot. Both lady players were not there just to make up the numbers as Sally hit the vital double to keep hopes alive at 2-1, but then Fiona clinched the title with a 3 dart finish popping double 18 with her 3rd dart.

Sunset trio of Mick, Andy and Alan also took the "Villa Linakis" Team K/O, with a 10-2 leg win over Meerkats
The score line does not do justice to Meerkats though, as many legs had both sides on that vital double.

It's been a good week for Sunset Team as Andy took the "Villa Theia" Round Robin winning all 6 of his games and Mick took 2nd spot with 5 wins from 6. Capt Bob finished on 4 from 6 and Negg on 3 from 6.

Next Wednesday sees the "Rainbow/Anemos" 501 pairs K/O. With Mick and Andy, pairing up, there is no guessing the favourites.

The 501 pairs K/O gave up two suprises.

Alan (Ex Wash House) and Gordon (Maggies no.1) beat favourites Mick n Andy in their semi final.

They now meet Capt Bob, who teamed up with Three W's Doug Reason and duly despatched the strong 2nd favourites, Three W's Xrisanthos n Mikalis.

Next Tuesday is the last K/O before the NTS League says "bye bye" until next  Winter. Darts will be put in storage and sun loungers taken out.
The last K/O , this Winter ????? - The Arilliac Super Singles , of course.
(Now who sponsors this one , dare I ask!)

" Night Owl retain the Arilliac 501 Super Singles "

The Arilliac Super Singles has to be the top of the cream competition in the league and attracted 16 of the league's best players. There were no easy games from the start. (Players league % is shown in brackets)

First round games saw Mikalis (75) dispose of Negg (67) by 2-0 whilst that young Owl Petros (57) pushed Mick (73) from Sunset eventually losing 2-1. Brother Owl, Spiros,(64) then beat Mick -2-1. Three W's Doug (66) produced a good result of 2-1 against Sunset's Andy (80) to then lose 2-1 against Mikalis.  Kokalos Leon (50) beat Three W's Yiogos (62) 2-1 and then beat Sunsets Spiros (62) to then fall at the hands of Sunsets Alan (67)
Rainbow/Anemos Spiros (75) beat Bad Boys Lezsek (45) only to fall, in the next round, at the hands of brother Dimi.

The semi-finals bought together, Dimitris (83) and Sunsets Alan. A 2-1 win, for Jimmy, that could have gone either way with both players after the winning double. It was nearly an Owl final with young Spiros vs Three W's Mikalis.
A 2-1 win here for Mikalis with both players having chances in the final leg.

In a best of a 5 leg final, Dimitris coasted away to a 3-0 win, leaving Mikalis once again to take runners up spot.
(Twice the bridesmaid – Next year the bride??)

That's it folks for this Winter – Hope you were all on the edge of yer seats! – Just Presentation left.
