"" Owlettes and Meerkats may hold the key........"""
…………that unlocks the runners up spot in the 2013 NTS Winter darts league.
Three W’s currently challenge for 2nd after a fine 6-5 win over Kokalo. At 5-2 up Kokalo watched much needed points drift away. 5 points and a hangover may not be enough.
But… They bounced back to beat Petros and his Owlettes 11-0, so, Three W’s may need an 11-0 win over Owlettes, next week. Bad Boys, who this week beat Sunset 6-5, will also be after an 11-0 next week, against Night Owl???– Hmmm!! – Difficult as the Owl win average is 9 points per match.
Kokalo want 5 points to clinch runners up spot and play Meerkats, last game, next week. Can they handle this pressure?? – Will they all be drinking lemon tea???
Sunset will be looking for, at least, a 11-0 win over Armourada and hope that both Owlettes & Meerkats take valuable points away from Three W’s and Kokalo.
If Meerkats win 9-2 will it be drinks on Sunset??
Will Petros and his ladies show Xrisanthos and his boys where the doubles are??
Meanwhile, Night Owl, on 100 points, relax, in their “Tree Top House” and enjoy watching all suffer.
Points
Night Owl – 100 / Kokalo – 89 /Three W’s – 82 / Bad Boys – 82 / Sunset – 81 /Armourada – 56
Meerkats – 31 / Petro’s Owlettes – 29
It’s been a week of records broken and new ones made. Kokalo’s Negg & Richard ended the 7 from 7 unbeaten pairs run of Three W’s Xrisanthos & Aris. Richard added a 9 dart 301 to his 10 & 11 darter and sits on 62 scores of 100+ for the season. Three W’s, Yiorgos, hits the only 171 (3 xT19) this Winter League. Armourada’s Roger & Sharon ended the 7 from 7 unbeaten pairs run of Night Owl’s Dimitris & Paul whilst Armour’s Jean takes the scalp of “Rainbow Owl” Spiros, in her singles, taking her tally to 8 wins from 12, and a 50% success rate on legs played. Best unbeaten pairs record now is Owl’s Nickos & Makis on 5 from 5. Owlettes got a little revenge, over a Meerkats first round defeat, by winning their return match 7-4. Vassilis for Meerkats gets his 2nd singles win, and first pairs win with Doug. New Greek Team, Bad Boys, are quite nice lads really and have played very well all Winter. As a Team, they have notched 102 of the 656 League 100+ totals hit so far.
The Round Robin Groups prove very interesting:-
Group 1 – Makis – Xrisanthos – Senan – Doug (Meerkats)
Group 2 – Dimitris (Owl) – Kostas Lefkimiatis – Petros – Jean
Group 3 – Mikalis – Mick – Kostas Fakiolas – Maggie
Group 4 – Richard – Andy – Neill – Sally.
Only 1 game left folks
Cheers
Negg
