Terry
The age you pass from a "youngie" to an "oldie" is to do with the mind and not the condition of the body. - How you feel, as recently told me by a sympathetic person.
The "eye" tells me Arillas has quite a few, very near to being, senior citizens at the moment. But the conversations with some of these "Arillas Veterans" tell me different.
Oh to be 60 years old and still own a comb!!!!!
There is no age discrimation here, only the occassional jest, which is all taken in good humour. Gotta go now and clean my zimmer frame. Important race this afternoon.

PS. Good to meet Kes and,yet again, enjoyed a good chinwag with forum members.
( What am I going to do at the end of October ??? )

What can Eggy do at the end of October? That should be a Topic on its own.

We could all come up with some ideas for you, or we could set  you a daily task/challenge.

Have you got a webcam on your PC? If so we could have Video conferences.

Lastly I'm glad there is no age discrimination, so just for a jest .......can you still wear grey trousers?

It took a little effort today but the temperature finally struggled to 24 deg. A very good day though with just a mild breeze. I'm told the sea felt very warm.
Only 6 days to October and I hear no complaints about the weather.
The sky did spit at me about 5 pm and again at 8:30 pm, in Corfu Town. I think it was just a friendly warning/reminder to put the car windows up overnight.
(I Rarely read projected forecasts, just listen to locals and go by gut feeling.)
11.44 here and sitting on 20 deg. Little Oregon weather machine still says rain. We'll see
I think it will be a good day tomorrow.
( Hope so - Getting concrete poured in the afternoon - Maybe??)

My philosopy on age is that it's not just a number, it's an attitude !

Yes, definitely  agree with your philosophy, SBG, as we probably said in the Coconut Bar!
Agree with Eggy that it was good to meet up with you all.

Hi Lynn/Colin, it was great to meet you. Did you get booked up and hows the knee Lynn, hope it's healing. Lynn got all the way down to Porto Timoni and back up and then slipped on some gravel when coming back into Arillas, I couldn't believe it. Well done to Colin he did it as well and like me does not like heights so that makes it quite an achievment. Viv & Pet

Now you can see why I gave up being a professional Gambler!! - Absolutely bucketing down here at 1:40 pm with a temp of 19 deg. Concrete still being poured. Offered to hold umbrella for the lads but, hey, real men don't need one.

The finish looks OK. We will screed and tile anyway. One guy, complete with plastic mac, was continually and patiently brushing excess water from the path and patio.
For some reason they seemed to welcome the rain. They did a good job, I think, and are back tomorrow.

Smiffy
Yep - The machine was right for a change.
So, yesterday we pay e300 for a TV aerial and Sat dish and today can't get any Sky foc channels as reception is bad. Durrrrrrr !!
(Greek TV reception is very poor, unless you like to see 3 of everybody - I see 3 of everything driving home at night!!!)

Arillis today? - Take a look at Dimitri's picture of the day. Tells it all. Where does everybody go? - Quiet Brouklis, deserted beach, empty Coconut and Malibu. Just a few loyal customers of Horizon. S'all I saw.
Temperature battled very hard to hover at around 21 deg.

Dragged Paul and Maria off the streets into Cocounut for a drink. Two very Brave people
who went to Corfu Town this morning,by local bus, and loved every minute of it.
Very pleased also to meet Marika, here for 3 weeks, and enjoying the day.
Haven't found Joe yet - Perhaps he saw me first!
(Did I really see a head peering at me from behind a stack of redundant sunbeds on the beach?  Nah - I'll put that down to a vivid imagination !! )

Not having seen any serious rain since May, I took great delight in strolling along the sea front, in the rain, complete with striped brolly.
How does that song go ??? - And why did any people left vanish when I sung it???
Cheers

Hi Viv and Pete,
Good to meet you too.  Yes, we did get booked for a fortnight from 5th May at the Bardis Sun.  Apparently, Nancy popped in and told Poppy that someone had just booked, then half and hour later we turned up, and Poppy was delighted that she could tell Nancy she knew who it was!

The knee is healing, thanks - it keeps itching so that should be a good sign!
Colin says thanks for the nice comments.
Just over 7 months to go now then!  Looking forward to seeing the fireflies.
Love, Lynn & Colin
