** Vasilli bullies Billy and Hippo Pete "pots" 3 **

13 year old Vasillis, Nickolettos, played Sidari Bill, for the first time in the "Nomads" League and ran out the 2-0 winner. Hippo Pete, regained his form with 3 wins from 3 scoring 10 scores of 100+ in the process.

Meanwhile, Sea Monkey , Andy , was not "horseing" around and frightened Jersey Steve with a first leg 17 dart 501. Now the highest, so far, in the League.

The game of the night, played at Armourada, had to be Andy vs Vasillis. Vasillis took the first leg, in 17 darts, whilst Andy took the second, starting with a 180. In the deciding leg, with Vasillis on 90 and surely a chance at a double  next throw, saw Andy check out on 113.

38 scores of 100+ were recorded on the night with 12 of these to Andy who also added the scalps of Jersey Steve and Armour's Leon to his belt. With an 86% win average, The Jersey Challenge Trophy looks to be going his way. Sidari Dave on 67% , may be chasing him home.

Although, all these guys are not "Pro's" , they came very close to B.D.O, standard, at Armourada, last night with 501's completed , in 17,17,19,20,22,23 darts.

" Negg ' KAINED ' by new Jersey Boy!! "

Young Kane, son of Jersey Steve , got his revenge at Negg, for his semi-final defeat , at Rainbow last week, with a very nice 3-2 win this afternoon.

He retires back to those "Islands in the Channel" with some extra flights for his next 12 months practice until he returns.

Twas a sad farewell to Jersey John n family last week and now tis a sad farewell to Jersey Steve n Family tomorrow. All that remains now is the "Nomads Summer Darts Challenge" to decide who wins the Jersey Challenge Trophy which the guys donated.

Watch this space.

Ditto Val! Judging by Neill's reports, the next generation of Arillas dart players will be exceptional. Wish I were there to see some of it....

" Sidari Russell has a lot to "CROW" about "

Last night , at Sea Monkeys , Sidari,  Russell Brightman was invited to compete as the guest player.
Currently No.5 in the Corfu rankings, the hustle and bustle of Russel won both tussles against Hippo Pete and Doug producing a 180 along the way, but, alas, was not a "BRIGHTMAN" against Andy , going out 2-0 which keeps Andy firmly rooted to the top spot. (Andy currently sits at No.6 in the Corfu rankings)

Young Vasillis recorded the second 180 of the night but could not find doubles as did Doug.
Hippo Pete plods on, in his own merry way and wins his other 2 games

Sidari Dave ,scraped a leg from Andy but lost 2-1 , however he stays in 2nd spot after his other two wins.

Next Tuesday will be Marvel and the guest appearance of TIMBO. (Hope he puts his flights in!)

" Marvelous display from Vasillis at Marvelous"

Young Vasillis (Nickolettos) closes the gap for 2nd spot, in the "Nomads Summer Darts Challenge" with 3 wins from 3, notching 8 scores of 100+ in the process.

Current 2nd Dave Gallagher (Sidari) may just have to pull out all the stops to hold on to this spot as only 4 matches remain. (Dave 63% and Vasillis 61% on wins with a current 60% tie on legs won)

After surviving two scares from Hippo Pete and Doug , Monkey Andy still managed a clean sweep, with 2-1 results plus a 2-0 from Dave who had many shots at that elusive double. Consulation prizes for Doug n Pete were Doug winning his other two games and Pete winning 2-1 against Valantis (Capt's Table)

Next week sees a return to Rainbow where Dimitris (Jimmy) will take on the top 3 in the league.
Dimitris will bring all his "Night Owl" experience into play and will, I am sure, take no prisoners,

Invited "Guest "Timbo" found Vasillis and Doug too good for him then took his anger out on Negg with a 2-1 win. - Why Me????

Cheers

Revenge tonight maybe on the way as we have a 301 K/O at Tria Adelphia.

But..... at least 4 of the guests , staying there, have played before!! WOTSTHATALLABOUT?

Thought it might be a stroll in the park for me , and now, these guys, plus the presence of Timbo, Vasillis and Pete and Valandis?? - What chance do I have of an easy draw?

" Good 'Evans' , it's WAYNES WORLD all over again "

Fresh from his 301 K/O win, at Tria Adelphia, on Thursday, Wayne Evans was invited to make another hiccup in his holiday, to compete with the "Nomads" in their Summer Darts Challenge, on Tuesday.
Tuesday's challenge, held at Rainbow, also saw Dimitris (Jimmy) and son Paniotis take up their spears.

It was a 3 from 3 win for Wayne, beating Sidari Dave 2-0, Hippo Pete 2-1, plus the scalp of League leader,Sea Monkey Andy, 2-1, in what was the match of the evening.

Paniotis reminded Vasillis, that he has not forgotten how to play and ran out the 2-1 winner, then Dimitris delivered Vasillis the "coup de grace" with a 2-1 win after losing to Dave and Andy in previous games.
David ( as in Momo ) found Pete a Hippo too far and Sidari Bill went home without a leg to stand on.  Negg got lucky, for a change, winning 2-1, 2-1 against Dave n Pete who missed those winning doubles.

48 scores of 100+ were recorded. Wayne taking 12 of these. Pete taking 11 and 9 going Andy's way.

Another good night. Next week will see a match at Sea Monkeys, Sidari, with, I think the Corfu No.1, invited to compete.

Cheers

"NOMADS" - "ROBbed"

Rob Benn, currently sitting on the Corfu Darts Ladder at No.1, was invited to compete as the Guest, in the match at Sea Monkeys, for the Jersey Challenge Cup.

Winning 6 of his 7 legs played, scoring 16 merits including a max plus legs of 15,16 and 17 darts, his wins have helped to turn the League into a very interesting last two games.
(Only the second Guest to win 3 from 3, it would be interesting to get those two together for next year)

Whilst, barring the end of the world, Andy sits safely as League Leader, the race for second spot is still open. Sidari Dave has 58% on games won, Vasillis has 58% and Pete 53%.
(Legs won % are:- Dave 54 , Pete 53 , Vasillis 68)

Next weeks game, at Three W's, and these guys have it all to play for. Negg, Doug and Bill may just be an extra thorn they may have to deal with. With nothing to lose they will be very relaxed.

Cheers

" Little Paul - Wood have loved to win 3...... "

...... but the shock of bumping into Negg, workmate and dartsmate, from over 30 years ago proved too much for him and , being roped in as "guest" on the night, could only manage 2 from 3.
(Paul n Sue Littlewood will be back next year to catch up on "lost" time)

Whilst Andy has sprinted away as the Nomads Winner, the 2nd spot is very open between Dave and Pete, thanks to Paul who beat Dave 2-1. Andy also beat Dave so only 1 win for Dave at Three W's, that night, whilst Pete scooted in with 3 from 3.

Our last match tonight, at Nickolettos, may all be on the Pete vs Dave draw.

A total of 513 scores of 100+ have now been recorded over 15 matches.

Cheers

Vassilis says -: "I am still here guys.........!"

.....and takes the scalp of Pete by 2-1 then Dave 2-1 putting pressure on both Pete and Dave who then  needed a win to take the second spot.

The "crunch" led up to the last game of the night between Dave n Pete for the 2nd spot and Dave ran out the 2-1 winner.

A super darts Season for all "Nomads" who now have to find a little plot to reside for the Winter.

566 scores of 100+ have been recorded in the Summer, with 131 of these going to Andy, including 3 x 180. Pete has done 101 with Dave 95 and Vassilis 65.

Highest out is Andy 113 and Negg follows with 103. Fastest darts has been Andy-15, Vassilis 17, Negg 19
and Dave 21. Not bad for all.

Tuesday night , at Armourada, is the "Round Robin" K/O where all players play all.

We have:-
Group 1. Andy (87%) - Vassilis (58%) Paul (Sidari) - (67%)
Group 2 . Dave (57%) Doug (41%) Stathis (Guest)
Group 3. Pete (54%) Neill (25%) Xrisanthos (15%)

Pick yer winner , guys!!

This night will be a cracker so all invited to support.

On behalf of our little NOMAD group of Summer Dart players can we say a big thanks to all who joined in.

We all hope that, by these weekly updates, it has helped all to put faces to names during your visits.

We also hope, that in our own little way, we have helped to promote Arillas and bought a little extra fun for guests ,plus extra custom for those Tavernas/Bars that took part and supplied awards.
(It's been great for all of us who get to play against new opponents)

Over the Summer, we have visited Armourada, Tria Adelphia, Rainbow, Three W's, Marvelous,Sunset Bar, Nickoletos plus Matts and Sea Monkeys (Sidari). All places have had 2 match nights.

We also organised Knock Outs for guests here at the time and many "Darting Arilliacs" now bring their darts with them.

It will be a quiet Winter and no league is planned, however I am now receiving e-mails from "Guests" who competed, this Summer, giving me their arrival dates for next Summer and asking to join in again.

Big thanks also goes to the "Jersey Boys" , Steve n John who gave us the "Jersey Challenge Shield" which Andy, Sea Monkeys, will proudly put on his shelf (But just for 12 months!)

Weather and power cuts permitting the Round Robin will still happen at Armourada on Tuesday.

Cheers
