Glad you are back safely Phil...the journey sounds vile. The price we pay for a late trip to our favourite place...it just seems to make the onset of winter in the UK that bit more depressing.
Let's hope that over the winter we can all keep each other afloat with stories of past adventures, present memories and future dreams....

It was touch and go at times Sandy luvver. I even mooted to Jen that next summer might be my swansong. But today is another day.

And as you eloquently say, it is the price we pay for our "stories of past adventures, present memories and future dreams...." The answer is simple - cut out the air travel and just stay there for good. I know I could.....

So sorry you had such a stressful journey home to Somerset Phil and Jen,
lets hope the good memories you carried with you will soon eradicate the nasty ones.
Now you both must have a restful winter to build up the stamina for 2012 and maybe next year will be better.

Phil, look after yourself and Jen, we look forward to your company in July.

The love affair continues.

Any takers for an Arillas afternoon which gave us a very fine 21 deg at 2 pm?

There are still a few people around and not all "locals". There was even one lady , with the beach to herself, on sun mat chilling out. And the German couple who made a point of visiting Armourada to see if food was on for tonight. ( Does a bear do it in the woods?)
Sharon's Pool Bar had a very nice little group with beer in hand and relaxing in mind!

Maybe I should get some sunbeds on here!?

As I said, any takers? - Phil n Jen, Very quiet without you C'mon back yer hear
Plus all you other good folk , of course!
Cheers

You know I'd be back in a flash...particularly on a beach looking like that......

sorry to hear about your trip back phil and jen, hope you are feeling better now. certainly puts the mockers on things doesn't it, my son and daughter in law are still getting over their spot of trouble in majorca, made much worse by the fact that they cant get to disney because some b******s stole something which was worthless to them but priceless to stuart and emma and little charlie.
cant even claim on their travel insurance now, because they will only pay up for what was left on it, one year in their case (£35) and they have an excess of £50!!!!!!!
sorry rant over, and i hijacked your thread phil sorrrrrrrry

Hi Ger, Not surprised you needed a good rant, and Im sure Phil dosen't mind. He is just so laid back, but he and his lovely Jen have just been to the most laid back place I think I will ever know. Viv xx

Arillas Today shows an empty beach with loads of sand. The water line is as low as I`ve seen it since 2004 when the beach was huge.
The w e b c a m is a Godsend during the winter months.  But it`s torture, knowing that we have a few more months to wait tilwe are there (unless your name is Neil - lucky man!).
