Really enjoying the reports, Phil. Keep them coming. Entertaining and evocative. Love to sit here in cold Scotland and dream of Arillas and it's folk (especially Eggy...Dave and I are enjoying playing darts again-not well but improving) and the bars and the beach...........Thanks, Mo

Sandy meluvver, I spent the night with a very hot date. We can hardly walk now.... But Eggs were on the menu, with 3W's and a Margerita. Yet another fantastic time was had. We even saw the RI brewery and were welcomed there like we are eveywhere.

But we are getting bored with fantastic. I might like something to complain about...... Sadly you who read this junk can complain about everything if you want to, but I cannot complain about anything. Arillas Today is bathed in sunshine, it is nearly 6pm and I am warm and a very happy man. And Jen is even warmer and happier. She might even make an honest man of me later. Or am I still dreaming......

er, she just said "behave yourself....." Sorry meluvver, I don't know how to when I am here.

I'm sorry if my words got it wrong. Us Brits rarely complain, however bad it gets. Like my lifelong Arillas friend kevin.g just said it all, I only want to share it with all of you. Arillas is my place, and I wear it on my sleeve. It's just I rarely know when to stop.

Make that never Phil. We are all sitting here in cold dull Blighty just waiting for your posts.

The love affair continues.

Hiya Phil and Jen...   Just checked in after a long time away to play catch up..and I am glad to see you are still enjoying the "Arillas life".  All the best  Sue and Mike (aka blondegirl)

We were talking about you and Mike just a couple of hours ago Sue. No we have never forgotten you and never will. Do you still have that blue dress you wore to the wine festival in 2008? You looked gorgeous. I haven't a clue what your bear of a man was wearing, but that is who I am.

We just met Maggie and Gordon in the Nut, and they give yous both a challenge for Arillas man and Arillas woman. Please come back and share your lives with us all. We are still here - in Arillas I mean. But we will never forget when Mike was on the phone to his mother, and you rushed across the road to say "hello to Phil and Jen." Arillas still remembers you both like we do.

Ah, Sue and Mike you have indeed been missed. Hope you are both well. Really pleased to see you pop up xx

justphil

do we do pop-ups now Jo meluvver? I'll have to get the boss to show me how. There is a very sad and lonely swing at Marinaki, just waiting for Jo Wisett to use it..... Apologies for spelling, but Arillas, last week just blows me away. Hope I've made you jealous Jo medear. If the truth were said, I just wish you and your family were here to share it all with us.

It makes the w e b c a m  look seriously boring......

Welcome back Sue and Mike, its great to see you back on here and it will be even better to see you both in Arillas again.

Arillas Today is just about closed. But the sun is out, it is warm and there are parties tonight. There are still people here, taking full advantage of whatever they can find. People swimming in the sea, laying on the beach, shopping at Yiota's.... The Nut just had another delivery of Mythos (wonder why???)

Arillas has delivered a magical last week, not just to Jen and me, but to a diverse range of folk who love it as much as we do.

If only Phil!! Been great reading all about your week. Safe journey home x

Have a lovely last day Phil and Jen, soak up the last of the sun and mythos - enjoy, safe journey.

Thanks for all your thoughts!  We have such fond memories of Arillas and all the folks we met.  We dont know if we will ever get back to Arillas... life has been a bit challenging the last 2/3 years now.  Mikes dad died, then Mike fell off a ladder two years ago and smashed his foot up resulting in an op with a plate, screws and bonegraft and is still giving him gip and is semi retired now.  I havent been well and only just came out of hospital three weeks ago.. so no prizes for guessing where would we have loved to have been this year.  We had our 35th wedding anniversary in Arillas and next year is out 40th so I know where I would love to spend our special anniversary.  So... you never know and we might be there!

Glad you had a "jolly holiday" again Phil and Jen...hope it will get you through the winter!  We have all got to save for next year now!  All the best to everyone!  sue

p.s.  We do have great memories of dancing at the Wine Festival... we do have some videos of that, great fun we had... I dont have the blue dress anymore, I outgrew it!! Also, Terry I remember dancing round the swimming pool at the Marina I think it was... I was terrified I was going to fall in.

Arillas today is as closed as it can be. We even watched all the tables at Brouklis being ferried and stacked indoors. The few locals will be glad of a rest, but can still get basics and fed/waterd at Armourada and the Marvel. It is Dimitri's birthday (along with several others in including Spiros' at Rainbow, Jen's and Annie's.) I hope they enjoy.

Phil and Jen had a very stressful journey back, and if not committed to our responsibilities here in UK, our wobbly arrangements would have seen us staying for even longer. I passed out briefly on the plane, but not from alcohol, before you get the wrong idea. It was stress and low blood-pressure. The weather at Bristol was F-O-U-L and the roads flooded. Driving was a bl**dy nightmare. But we got here eventually.  I am nearly recovered, but not quite.

I have pictures and stuff to post, and much of our few days was magical. Old friends, young friends. Old friends, new friends. Fabulous food, gorgeous weather. The legendary Arillas welcome, and again I only found time for one swim because I spent it amongst friends. I will post it on Tell Us Your Story soon.

Arillas today? It is always that for me. And I know it is the same for many, many others.

Phil
