Eggy, glad to see you have resumed your duties, and as for the slapping I reckon there are loads who would queue up for that (not the pleasurable kind!!) which is why I will be wearing a Burkha on 20th Aug onwards!! And I'm sure that the blonde lady in bikini wasn't your intended object in these wonderful pics . there I go again...just cant STOP getting meself into trouble!

She said " I would prefer it if you just wore a T-shirt and jeans "

"Wearing a BURKHA ?" The last time I saw one of these it was being worn by a lady who didn't eat meat. She said it was a Veggie Burkha!

So.............. Wotabout Arillas tonight?

Very similar to Arillas today in that there is still nowhere to park.
( Even opposite Brouklis which must be a first for me )

But , at 22:30 the similarity ends. No one on the beach even though they still have 24 deg. Eating n supping is more important now and many a Taverna and Hotel supplying comfort to all here. Coconut doing a very good trade and Malibu also with some customers. Hotel Akti once again hit me as a good relaxing place to be and had many guests also on my wavelength.

Punto is not used to swerving around Arillas Patrons and so siga siga was the name of the game. I was beginning to forget what a lively place Arillas is at this time in the evening and this was a very gentle reminder. "Summit" for all - Donchyerknow
Enjoyment being the name of the game and none of it at the expense of others.

Arillas Today Jean.

Well - 34 deg at 6pm and no sign of it dropping yet.

Took Wegg to the Beach this morning at 10 am and it was a busy busy then.
Picked her up at 11:30 and it was busier. - A HOTTIE OR WOTTIE?
Wegg tells me the sea was cold - or felt cold 'cause by 10:30 the temp was 26 deg.

I personally have kept away from any places where the chance of being "micro-waved" are slim. - ( Others are browner than a melted Cadbury's Choc bar. )

Mid August and Italians, French, Germans and Mainline Greeks are having a super time.
Other accents I could hear but not an interpreter to make a guess.
( Did I hear Russian? - If not then next year think )

Very good to see the Winter Work that the locals put in being re-paid by the affection and respect that all above have for this little piece of heaven.

Sounds interesting,a truly cosmopolitan Arillas!  We usually visit May or Oct so will be a different Arillas for us this year. We've never met in the 4 visits we have made and we don't often say much but we watch and listen to the forum regularly and always enjoy your posts Eggy. May be this time we will see you!

Don't bother Jean. It will be a disappointment. He drives round in an old FIAT Punto trying to help everyone who asks, making them feel supported and looked after, and generally there for everyone who asks if he can find the time. Saint Eggy?? Jen and me know better. Met him in the Nut in October 2007 and realised he is real, and like the rest of us just he is making a life. We love him to bits like many others do, and he is a life-long friend. Along with his gorgeous wife.

Jen an me are looking forward to spending August with a

truly cosmopolitan Arillas!

Arillas. 2012 is our target. Do you realise that after 4 you are now Arillas Regular Visitors?

I tried to walk on water today and Wegg promises to give you a slapping soon as she had to spin dry all my clothes.

Drives around in an OLD FIAT PUNTO?. I take this as a compliment as there are many who say I can't drive at all!
( AT ALL , AT ALL - once Paul D fills me with an Ouzo in Sept)

I'm sure you will bump into me Jean, because, with my trusty old Punto, I try not to be the first to bump into anybody.

So, at 11 pm ish , Greek Time, with the outside temp reading 25 deg and an exchange rate of e1.183 I bid you all Kalenichta.
( I am now off to turn water into Vodka Frappe - Could be on a winner here )

Twere a busy 'ole time all around folks with no room to swing a Broulkis cat.
(And do we want to swing a Brouklis cat? - Only at offending customers, maybe!)


So.... Heide, Erja and I vanished from the Beach and then the Coconut to that well known "paradise" owned by this young gentleman.
( Magic show at the "Nut" tonight but we vanished first! )
