The garden area to the left of the property, not in picture, looks very tidy indeed.

Hi Eggy
Have you had a chance to look at the river lately?
Has all the winter rain changed it into a roaring torrent?
The beck in Nettleham is in that category.  Went for a walk round the village this afternoon in the sunshine and the water from the heavy rain last week has filled our beck, so that the ducks are struggling to stay in one place.
Best wishes
PJ

Patrick
Stream is very well behaved at the moment, as you can see.

The water is crystal clear.
I bumped into Vassilis, Armourada, who went to great lengths to explain what they had done to keep drainage problems away.

It was a refreshing breezy Arillas this morning and certainly blew away a few cobwebs hanging around. ( Plus those bins you see behind Vassilis )
Not the best of photos - Sorry - Should have let Wegg take it.

Anyway we were on our way to Avliotes Post Office to pay the electric bill and visited Sidari on our way back. --- Canal D'Amour on a blustery day.
( Made Arillas look like a pussy cat  )

Wegg took the pics as she wobbles less than I do and obviously did not get too close to those edges that you can walk to in the summer.

So 14 deg in the shade and, yet again, if you have a bill to pay, such a nice way to go about it.

Cheers
Negg

Thanks Eggy great pictures again.  The one of the Bardis Sun hotel brought back fond memories of our 2 visits in 2005.  We stayed on the top floor on both ocassions the room right at the end and the one next door to it.

We were the same as Smiffy, early evenings used to get ready and meet our friends at the Bardis sun studios for a drink and then wander into the resort for some food.

What great memories.

Hi All
Thanks, Eggy, for the river picture (and all the others too).  Was very interested in why the river was having problems last spring.  Something to do with a bumper olive crop and the waste finding its way into the watercourse.
It looks great at the moment.
Have swum in the Canal d'amour with Julia - but wouldn't want to try it at the moment.
Once again many thanks Eggy for taking the time and trouble to keep us all in the picture.
Best wishes
PJ

Great photo of the hotel.. I have printed it off and stuck it on the fridge along with an Arillas Sunset photo to remind me of where I am going in September.......as if I would forget :-)
If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.

Not much to tell you today folks.

After a 3 deg start to the day, which struggled to get to about 10/11deg, early afternoon was fine in the sun that finally broke through, but a twinge chilly in the shade.
The temp seems to drop very quickly here on days like this and, at 7:30, we now have 5 deg outside.

However, showing a prospective customer some land, we obviously went via Arillas.
( Had to be done )
Apart from Vassilis .once again taking pride of place fishing from the pier, very quiet. A little activity at the "Akti Hotel" with a lot of vegetation clearance preparing for that promised swimming pool.
Take it from me - It's still looking good.
If anyone wants photos of any Taverna or Appt etc, to re-kindle memories then let me know.

Best Wishes
Negg

Just to make you all jealous, we have been here in Arillas since last Friday and the weather is absolutely glorious. We have sunbathed in T-shirts on the verandah every day. The evenings are chilly but we have central heating and the log fire. Eaten out at Mon Amour, Amourada and the new Bistro in Ag Stef which is open on Saturdays and Sunday. Well, Dimitris has just served the coffee and chocs.
