Samwell

Aha Phil, you do talk, but then I think anyone will whos out there and as relaxed as you and I could have been. Ask Dimitris, I spent a good hour or more talking to him and some girl called Fay who was going home on my third or fourth day. I was sat with Dimitris for a good 15 to 30 minutes first, figuring out where I should go with the quad, looking at a map. Then Fay turned up, having had an arguement with her boyfriend, and we talked for even longer under the "air conditioning" that Dimitris has made at Brouklis. I beleive she will even be on here soon enough, she wanted to come back out alone next year.

As for tears, your not alone there Phil... the first day I sat at Brouklis... or evening, I cant remember, I had a glass... or bottle, I cant remember that either, of Retsina. Staring out of the vines, down the road into the sun and the street. I had about 8/9 days left of my holiday and by the first glass I had to remind myself I was in a restaurant with other people who might have thought I was a bit strange.

Basically, Phil, I think I feel for Retsina how you do about Mythos (on sunburnt knees ;) )

Im still washing my clothes today but will be planning next year's holiday soon... unless when I get back to work they make me redundant, in which case Ill go again this year ;)

26 deg deg, in the shade, with a breeze is Arillas Today.

Arillas still fairly quiet for July but many guests here are trying all Tavernas and Hotels and Bars which give the place that busy feel. (Enough love to go round maybe)

Our Phil n Jen certainly have enough love to go round as all who've spent time with them will know. They are Arillas as Arillas should be. Enjoying everything it has to offer and, apart from a loud guffaw or two, not offending anyone.
I drink to their staying power and don't forget "White Van Man" who's working overtime this year trying to keep up with 'em.
Well done you two and a question. Did "Terry W" really dance at the Nut last night?

Met Karen n Colin plus daughter at Rainbow this afternoon. They've been here a week now so time can really be lost so quickly here. Plus a mention for Tony and son Fred, who go home tomorrow. Enjoyed many darts games with them.

Hopefully I'll bump into Dave n Anne before they leave and John R n Dot
I 'spose you call this "rabbiting" so enough for now.
All pretty damm good here - Did anyone expect anything else?
Cheers
Negg

Ah Eggy and Sammy Arillas Today is perfect. 30 degrees and a light breeze (oh yes and an awful lot of hot air from boiled Eggs.) It is sunny and calm. Everyone seems to have given up the stresses and strains of life or is it just jen and me?

sammy to quote you
QuoteStaring out of the vines, down the road into the sun and the street.

You really did understand me then - I could have written those words. I do that a lot here.

Tonight it is downstairs - galactoboureko day for me. And maybe the Nut? Can't dance with Terry though, he's going abroad. Yes Negg, it is true. We made complete fools of ourselves and so what. Or perhaps we didn't - we were the ones who got it right. Yes the Glastonbury factor is here. Life is wonderful and I'm never going back. Free love? It always comes with a price.... But for me it is worth payaing

Dot - you go for it, girl!  It's great to hear you're all having such a wonderful time (we seem to have been back for years, when it's only a couple of months)
Enjoy yourselves and look forward to hearing about it all when you come back
In Phil's case, I think he's staying on....!!  Ah well, at least we'll get to meet him next May when we visit!!

justphil

I sort of noticed Dot meluvver. Even justphil is sat in the corner wondering how you could feel so happy, and I was supposed to be the expert!

Another lovely meal in Brouklis, with such great company. Life just doesn't get any better, does it?

Thank you both. And everyone else who has made Arillas its typical magic. What about the couple and four kids from Bristol? They even forgot to tell us their names... but they knew all of us, and could have quoted John's previous post.

Janis you ain't seen nuthin yet. Our Dot has sparkled and made Arillas her own. And of course the love of her life, last seen chasing a football up "heart attack hill."

Arillas is all about lovely people, and my God are there some here at the moment. (me excluded....)

SharonF luvver, can't (be bothered to) find the other thread. There is no photographic evidence of TerryW and me making D'Arcy Bussell jealous, but Jen just laughed out loud "He does a mean air-guitar though...."

She is my witness along with a packed Coconut Bar.

lmao again

Arillas Today is special too. I reckon 25 degrees, cloudless sky and only 8pm. The beach has seen many a family, games and fun being had, including the lady who ran into the sea to confiscate the ball from two guys pretending to be Boris Becker. We watched it all from our favourite vantage at GrazIella. I am such an anorak I asked Thomas to resolve the debate. It DOES have the I.

It was one of PhilandJen's Arillas days. We just sat in Brouklis doing our crosswords, then sat and ate our choice of mezes in GrazIella, red wine and Mythos, simply watching Gravia. (That chuffing great rock Ashwolves....) We were waiting to see if it moved. Dimitris had given us his mobile number so if it did, the army could come and move it back. (True - ask him!) Then waterbaby swam in the Mirage while I sat chatting to all and sundry, drinking Mythos.

Nothing is happening fast right now, the whole place seems chilled. Let's see if the Rainbow quiz moves the earth... That's all we'll be doing tonight meluvvers. Sandy "Darling" eat your heart out....

Arillas Today could be anyone's - anyone who knows how to enjoy themselves.
Phil
