At 6 pm and still with a 32 deg in the shade it really has been hot Arillas today.
Rumour has it that, by Saturday, we could be looking at 38 deg plus !

Phil , you have two choices.
1. Keep your liver in the shade. or...
2. Get some Onions, cause it;s the only thing that will go with it, when fried.

The beach is really coming back now and is the busiest I've seen it. Not many parking places and Portofino looking after many guests together with Helens, Marina etc etc.

These beach pics were taken on Monday. It's a twinge busier today!

.

Had a very good chat with Jo-Jo and Steven yesterday at the Rainbow and thanks again to them for the Bombay Mix. Nice couple staying at Kaloudis and enjoying all that Arillas has to offer.

One of the Local Bars also report that the film everyone wants to watch at the moment is "Hangover" They've shown it 8 times so far.
Phil - Is this one of your favourites?
Phil n Jen and Dot with Ref John all continue to have a good time - OBVIOUSLY !
A little bird tells me that P & J visited Night Owl and had a pic taken with the Owls 'Darts Awards from the Winter. And Ref John n Dot paid a visit to pay homage to the Dartboard at Three W's Agious Stephanos. - Or was it just for a lunchtime snack and drink?

Now, still at 32 deg and with the tme here at 6:25 pm I'll sign off and go and water Wegg n Megg. - Whether they like it or not.

Cheers
Negg

The beach is looking good, it's making me want to just run in the sea and have a good swim. Phil as expected you and Jenny sound like you are having a great time, but please leave me some vodka for when I come later in the season!

Eggy has captured Arillas today as usual. It is hot (30+) and sunny. The beach is superb if a little smaller than last year. I have now been to both ends, without any trouble in the North today. Wish I were still there - it is glorious sunbathing weather at 7.40pm here.

just get yer skates on and get out here!!

and Mary meluvver, the vodka is quite safe but the new Royal Ionian real ale is disappearing fast. Justjen tried it yesterday and Dimitris now keeps it in a wall safe....

lmao as usual

Many thanks to Phil and Mr Negg for their reports - I'm coming over on Monday and I was really getting worried abaout the Beach situation - but judging from the Pics it's fine now!

Giff
I got Soul but I'm not a Soldier....

Lindypops.

Janis

A little too hot for me, I'm afraid (I'm a big wuss) but I believe IDEAL for Phil! Some like it hot..

justphil

I drove around "Arillas Today" about 9:30 ish, thinking it may only just be waking up.
How wrong can you be? - Quite a few people in the sea and many beach beds finding early customers. All parked vehicles were neatly avoided by Pegg
(Well it was only 9:30)

We've had a super day and temps around 34 deg plus, although too hot for me, have relaxed and possibly tanned many a body today. Or maybe roasted a few!

For my part, a few games of darts and a natter with Phil n Jen and Ref John in Rainbow were just what the doctor would have ordered.
( He would have ordered it but he was on the beach enjoying the rays )

Cheers

Hi Neggy,
Too hot for me by the sound of it. See you in October when it's a bit cooler! Great to read your news, keeping us all up to date. Beach certainly looks much better than when I was there in May!
Yammas,
Martin.

justphil

Grampy-w it is still hot at 7.15pm. But I can't complain. Negg just confiscated my notepad in case....

But I think you would cope with it all. When it's so hot you have the perfect excuse to simply sit and chat with very dear friends. (Eggy excluded from that...) and eat a very late meal of local fish, and settle down for a quiet night. Sounds familiar? Well in spite of our reputation, that for us is Arillas Today.

best wishes gramps

Today I have retired after 35 years of teaching. Thirty five years of enriching the lives of the workers who will fund my pension. I AM FREE. I will be in Arillas on Monday (21st) for two weeks. Let me buy you a drink. Get in line ,shoulders against the wall, no talking. Sorry still in teacher mode. If you see a bloke with a beard and dubious fashion sense with a lady who is really smart, then come up and say.
"YOU ARE IAN LONG AND I CLAIM MY FREE DRINK"
I will scrape the rust from the catch my wallet, check that it is still legal currency and fulfill my promise.
I (plus my wife) would really like to meet up with someone for a drink.
It is Friday today and we fly on Monday.
Hope to see you , no consent forms required
Take care
IAN
