Hi Y'all

Ron Monkey - thx for that - i shall certainly check it out!

Jo - I'm looking into it...the amount of research I'm doing is taking longer than the holidy will last - hee hee

Phil  - No worries about putting 30 years on me, as I say after one smoke too many I look older than my dear Mum!!

Annie - you've done the business for me - have gone onto Thomsons and have found the Kaloudis for a very reasonble price...flying from Manchester coz I am in Liverpool...wanted to do it independently but the package seems to be a better price...

Am still amazed at this forum and the genorosity of folks sharing their knowledge...

If anyone wants the heads up about Liverpool i will be only to happy to oblige - its not quite Arillas but hey we have a nice river and a boy band that was once v successful!!!

we will be there in just over a week, but i am hopeing to bring my son daughter in law and new grandson at the begining of october, when he will be 6 months old. we have stayed at the akti before, but with a baby i think self catering would be the best option. what do you guys think? and what is the weather like in early october? are we likley to get sun??
i shall have to go on a scouting expedition when we're there!! are we allowed to check out appts?

Providing there is a vacant appt, at any place you're interested in, people should be only to happy to show you around.

Up to the end of October, last year, the weather was very good.

Cheers

Hi Annie

Well, we havent actually booked it yet because I had previously contacted Billy at Kaloudis via email so he replied and siad he would get back to me in a few days - if it works out the same price etc then , as you say, I'd rather go independent...Eggy and Riggers helped too for which I am very grateful...but rest assured as soon as I am sorted I will deffo let you know....Am at the stage now where I just want it booked so I can shop for bikini and beach frocks!! (oh, and something for the baby too - ooops!)

love, Miriam x

hi miriam

Go to the north end and you can save all your money. Whether you wear Versace or Primark, the birthday suit is the same. Nobody will notice most of the attire - we are all about tolerance and enjoying being alive.

Sorry luvver - if you love shopping for wonderful clothes, you will be noticed. But if you wear very cheap ordinary clothes you will be noticed just as well.

Perhaps it's why Jen and me fit in. But get booked - don't waste it.

Annie luvver - you sounded like me after a quiz at Kaloudis.... pissed!

No offence meant. I sort of know you understand! Proof means vodka to me.... as all of Arillas knows. The White Van Man broadcasts it every day!

Twas nice to natter the ither night. Will see yous all in Kaloudis in July. See??? I can hit wrong key when I'm sober....

Take care meluvver...

Hi Annie, no, it was me  - you see, i was on the verge of booking it but then Billy emailed, and then I was all in a quandry over what to do...Believe it or not I didnt used to be this indecisive!! (just didnt used to be able to make my mind up!)...x

Hi Phil

Sure you look great, !!

Well I dont think me in my birthday suit would be a v pretty sight at the mo, having just had 2 babies in quick succession...!! Hubby would be ok - he's like a rake and eats what he wants  - I do detest him so...!! Only jesting

Only need a new frock (well, when do us ladies ever need an excuse for a new frock..but seriously..), onlyl need a new frock as the last time we went on holiday was BtB (before the babies) to Goa, and it'll be a goodly while before I fit into THAT bikini again!!!  Never mind - a good time is better than a good body (which is  just as well - ha)

love, Miriam

Miriam,

If booking independently remember to check one way flights with different operators.  Note that one way's offered by Olympic Holidays don't show up on Skyscanner or similar search engines.

I've just booked using two different operators Saturday 4th July to Tuesday 21st July (god awful flight times!) for the princely sum of £338 for 3 passengers including hold baggage.

You don't need to leave it until the last minute like I have but there are some good prices out there with Easyjet, Olympic Holidays, Flythomascook & Thomsonfly.

Now just think how many new frocks you could buy for that saving.... :-)

Am intrigued now.  D'you mean you fly one way with one operator and back with another?  We dont mind awful flight times as we'd rather have an overnight so Joy (my baby) can maybe sleep overnight on the plane...Gosh I had never thought of doing it that way...

at the moment its costing us over £600 for Hubbby and me, and Joy  - only thing is, we fly from Manchester (living in Liverpool) and I know the London flights are sometimes cheaper...

Eileen you little Arillas expert you, hope you are wearing one of those frocks...

No I am not a dirty old man... I'm an Arillas P**s Artist. Do you reckon Dimitris will make a new category? Jen will join too....

Mugrees mum - make up your mind! Don't let your chance to expeirence it all go by.

Phil

Eileen

Yep Miriam...out with Flythomascook and back with Olympic.

I agree with your sentiment about nightflights being best with babies, there's more chance of them sticking to their sleep patterns and dozing through the whole event!  Well least ways mine always did (a lifetime ago!) and my grandson too.

We have a 6 hour drive down to Birmingham but it's worth it.  We would have airport parking and petrol costs wherever we left from, so it's just the inconvenience that's got to be taken into the equation.  I reckon it's worth it for the large amount of money we're saving.

There's some good deals with airport parking and hotel packages that are worth considering too.

If you need any help with flights just let me know.  I'll be offline now until late tomorrow evening but I'll catch up then.

Ha ha Phil, I'll see what I can find....I might give you a bit of a frock shock with what's in the back of my wardrobe....!!!

You a D.O. M.....no way!!!  P.A...now just maybe that's debatable... ;-)

Ouch...I'm going before you get me back!!!
