Sorry I got all Shakespearean. Should never quote the Scottish play...

To answer you Sandy, about a half litre of voddie. I bet our lynn can get poetical sober. Ne pas moi.... Peut etre deux Mythos s'il vous plait...

And Geoff I just lurved the Henry V paraphrase (if Sandy and me have placed it correctly...) Arillas has room for culture. But maybe not my version of it!

Congratulations to Vasillas and his bride!

To the uninitiated Vasillas and his family own the Nikos apartments just past the Tria. And a very nice stay we had too (about 3 years ago in the new apartments).

Good Luck and Best Wishes x x

A super sunny "May Day" in Arillas today folks with temps around that 23deg mark.

More vehicles that we've seen in , what feels, like a very long time!

.

Many places now opening. Malibu & Coconut, Helen's Creperie looking good, Armourada etc etc. Too many too name.
Rainbow open with it's first guests and had the pleasure there, yesterday afternoon to lose my first 4 games of darts. Captains Table up n running.

It's fair to say that the beach has taken a battering with the worst Winter for many years and, whatever we "mortals" can do it's very hard to beat nature.
(Even King Canute couldn't hold the sea back!)
But, although not a lot of beach, the water still looks crystal clear so can still be enjoyed. - And in 2 weeks time all can change -Donchyerno!

I hear that an English couple , Mal n Glen , have taken over the Sea Breeze pool n bar this year. Quite a few people there this evening to wish them well.

Bumped into Frank n Mandy n Peter ( Helios Court ) this afternoon and all look well.
Sandy n Co. probably home by now so await her little postings.

Finally , Red Pug may have to go to the "car park" in the sky. Looks like a white Fiat Punto may take his place. ( Hasn't got the same ring to it though)

Cheers

Hello eggy, do you know if yiannis has sold up at the sea breeze then. We know things havent been going too well for him. Shame cos he's a great guy. Any news on his dad Thomas, the last we heard last year he was very ill in hospital. Tonynglenda

Glen for the last few years ran the Effi Pool in San Stef, very nice guy and good friend of my Mum's, I think its good news that he is running the Sea Breeze.

The weather here in "Arillas Today" has been superb and many people taking advantage of the many free pools available. - Plus of course all the local Tavernas for that midday snack or bar for a bevvy or two.

I've been asked , via private e-mails, about the beach. It has taken a battering and none of us can acheive a victory over the elements. Much work, was put in by the locals over the winter, and yesterday yet another clear up was happening.
( I hate to think of the expense incurred by Arillas for this summer )

There is a lot of seaweed to bypass to get to the naturist end of the beach and, sadly, it's in a place where a JCB/Digger can't get to. But ,on the positive side. if you're prepared to paddle through a little sea then you're privacy will be much more in your favour.(Keeps a lotta textiles away and you're probably going to take a paddle anyway)

The North end of the beach, as Dimitris has alredy said somewhere, is OK and the rest of the beach is being re-claimed slowly.
However, as anyone with kids will know, if they want a bit of sand to build a structure or two, then they will find it.

Also, don't forget that there is a very good cross section of Pools/Bars etc to suit all.
Anyway , none of this seems to deter anyone here from having a good time and that's what it's all about.
26 deg approx this pm and many happy bodies around Tavernas/bars/Sunbeds.
(And a few more at the naturist end - Didn't paddle there to have a nose though! )
Cheers
