I loved "Bullseye" , especially the way Tony Green used to put the players off.
Just as about they are to throw it's "Take your time" - "Don't worry" etc etc

"NIGHT OWL'S WINGS CLIPPED BY ARMOURADA"

The three way team event is now hotting up with any team capable of nicking the winners spot. Last night, at Armourada, saw Night Owl sneak into a 5-3 lead, but with a "180" and a 143 out from Derek ( Armourada ) , plus 2 good wins from him and Capt Heather, that deficit was quickly made up and , at the score of 6-6, Armourada took the triples to give them a 7-6 win.

Derek, from Armourada, continues to make his presence felt and now holds an 85% strike rate on "singles games won" - This time at the expense of Capt. Bob, Night Owl, who now drops to 60%.
And..also ...... 143 out could be very hard to beat in a game of 301 straight start.

A good Greek pairs partnership is taking shape in the form of Nickos ( Night Owl ) and my neighbour Makis who now keep a 66% strike rate. But Dimitris, ex Rainbow, together with new player Paul, (Armenades) may be hard to beat with a 100% record.

Current points are now:-
Armourada - 24
Three W's - 21
Night Owl - 20

Three W's and Night Owl each have a game in hand so next Tuesdays match will be very interesting indeed! = ( If you're all still awake that is! )

Cheers

Kevin
I'm really amazed to the way this game has taken off here! Not just us Brits but also some very good Greek players are emerging.
Dimitris and Spiros from Rainbow who always enjoy a game and Nickos, from Night Owl, who only picked up a set of arrows around November. Now practices most days!
My neighbour, Makis, - He's a fireman really but loves this game.
Xrisanthos from Three Ws , Nickos's two lads and Dimitris of Bardis Bros builders.
Linda, Night Owl, has even taken to the game.

Anyway............. a message to all the Forum.
League funds are pretty low at the moment and I had this brainwave - as yer do!
How about a team winners sheild sponsored by members of the Arillas Forum.?
( Yes - I'm asking for donations )

A sheild would cost around £30 and I would look to get the www.arillas etc engraved on it. A good talking point in the summer as this sheild would be in the winning teams Taverna for all to see. Our presentation of awards would be the 13th May so any Forum Guests are very welcome.
Jsut 15 members @ 2 euros each and a mention at presentation - What could be better? ( Or 30 members @ 1 euro - 60 members at 50 cents is acceptable )
I just need a UK address for any donations plus names of sponsors etc.
Eileen - I may nominate you as "collector"

Just a thought and feedback welcome.
Cheers
