Just looked at the live webcam it looks a tad wild on the beach this morning a far cry from when we were there in august 3 months ago when the sea was a pleasant respite from the heat

We woke here , this morning, to an outside temp of 8 deg. By 11 ish we were on 12 deg and, with my little drive to Arillas, it felt quite warm in the car and added to a splash of sun very pleasant.

A very quiet Arillas and as you've seen the beach, just a few times, thought I'd pop this one in for a change.

One of the many veiws you walkers will find on that "hill climb" to Afionas.

Now, at 1:30 pm it's started to rain - well drizzle a bit. - But still a bright day.

Cheers

Well Eggy my heating has been on since late September....and we have had a smidgeon of snow but this was quickly washed away by the rain, but as Annie has said it has been  -5......and I can hear you laughing as well. Aint fair

Arillas - `perfect antidote to life`s stresses and strains`!

Eggy

Haven't been to Arillas for 4/5 days now so this afternoon came as a bit of a shock.
I know the weather has been pretty fierce, recently and overnight, but not this fierce!

The pics tell the story, I think.

.

.
Poor Ina had sandbags along her supermarket entrance so no guesses how dramatic that sea must have been.

Not much of the beach left and yet another winter job for the locals to get Arillas ready for summer 2009.

.

It's a dry 18 deg here now but I'm sure nature will be flexing her muscles again soon.

Amourada and Akti Hotel looked open this afternoon so must pay them a visit soon.
Home, to Kavaddades, via San Stephanos, Avliotes and Sidari. All very deserted.

Paid a quick visit to see the house being buit by our freinds. Situated close to Afionas, this is one of the views they will wake up to.

Cheers

Flipping heck Eggy it hasn't even been that rough here.
OOO what a view only another few years tell Pete and me have views over there instead of the houses they have built oppersite us and all the traffic that the tourist use in the summer because they can't be botherd walking up our hill, can't wait to be walking up the one to Afionas in May. Viv

Wegg and I are both very pleased that you are re-cooperating. I'm sure I spotted your gallstone amongst all those other "giants" around Inas!

That view from our friends house was taken from the ground floor balcony. The 2nd floor shot looked even better but the picture was blurred.
( Camera OK now - Found problem - Helps to read instruction booklet! )

Stay Well
