Seems very quite tonight. Not many people about.
None of the hippy happy brigade seem to be here.
Not wishing to be  controversial, so I will not mention the taverna, but it is very popular amongst the forum members, and had lamb cutlets served with roast pots and veg tonight.
The chops were not very meaty and the veg were over cooked courgettes and aubergine. Not very hot , and service not brilliant, concidering the lack of custom . Even the sunset customers were conspicuous by their absence.
Think we have been spoilt  by the Athina. Certainly the best so far this year for quality and service.

Maybe a one off. I did not have a good meal in Athina this year, sometimes there are off days. Before you ask, yes I did mention it to the restaurant at the time. These things happen occaisionally.

Hi all

0830 Yes Yannis was right about the weather big thunderstorm sunny at the moment our trip is cut short the wind is going to pick up later this afternoon. Sitting here typing this thing out the birds flying down into the pool.
Sonia must have landed in the thunderstorm lots of lightning 🌩
Had my lamb chops last night wonderful
All taverns have a off day
Athena was the captains it was good till the kids run the place they were to busy chatting to mates our texting no service it was a dump
But the new owner is doing well it was packed is a good sign and it's just not one night

Neil had no room in my case no shirt I nearly forgot the r  to much Neil's contraband the white stuff and the darts etc

0950 sunny no breeze went othoni yesterday very nice place we got back to san seff the ferry boat got a rope around the propeller they had to get a diver in to cut the rope it took one hour all good fun beach today

I think I know which restaurant you're referring to and I think it's where we had a very poor meal earlier in the year. Like you we didn't complain but also didn't return.
I suppose anywhere can have off evenings and we had had good meals there previously just hope it was a one off

I didn't complain as the meal was just about acceptable  It has sometimes been the same on previous visits.When you know there are far better options available it means you don't go back this holiday

Any Taverna has the ability to get it "not quite right" to suit all guests and good postings from Turkeyfoot and June here.
Our local , here in Kavaddades , do us very proud but....... it has been known , during the Winter to get a very "tuff n chewy" gyros takeawy. But... the giant size bag of chips make up for it!!

I cannot beleive it (Victor Meldrew again??) - 29 deg at 6;20 pm for the end of the first week in September. Another Arillas Today which suprises me!!
However , with a very nice afternoon , at Armourada and even with the breeze blowing my darts towards Albania , all was chickyterboo!!
Did you know that Mo (as in Mo n Dave) hit a 180 yesterday ?? - I think she is still doing a lap of honour around Arillas.
(Not back yet so probably using my Zimmer Frame)

Looking forward to a tad of rain, one afternoon soon, which may push "Turkeyfoot" away from the beach and towards Kostas. (Owe yer a Metaxa , matey!!)

Meanwhile ....... a Grazella night out , for me and Wegg , looms this evening. Fancy steak and maybe will take my own  ..................?

Hi all
Very hot today on north beach. Saw Sonia in the bardis had few drinks and Bobby as well it is good to see faces we all had a good chat and a laugh. Tomorrow we are going to Sidari for the day to get some bits and pieces

All restaurants food cooking can all have a off day I would say more so in England
The best giros is the beach point cafe lovely jubbly
Had a very good night  Last night with Yannis a few ouzo's wow he is leading me astray 😂

Even when know what people look like I still don't notice them as Eggy will tell you. Been meaning to explain to Eggy that when we were here in July that I did not see him in Athina. Bobby asked mea few days later if I saw you and I hadn't. So sorry Eggy. Was not ignoring you honest and if you see me and I don't see you please do say hello.

Was great to meet Kev and Bev yesterday. Did not see Kev's message and was on the beach. Bobby called me so was able to get up to Bardis to see them . The wonders of modern technology.

Having a great time. Best meal so far has been my favourite Kleftiko in Vinceremos.

Son and girlfriend arrive tonight and then our party will be complete.

Please do not let me be Billy no forum mates on Friday and please join me if you are in Arillas for adrink on Friday night at Bardis sun studios to celebrate my big five O.
