Ah Sharon meluvver, we have shared so much over the years. Just now Jen and me are doing the Arillas dream. No apologies, we are having a ball. Tomorrow Brouklis officially opens, and we have booked table 13. Watch Arillas Today tomorrow. It will certainly not be yesterday.

Arillas Today and this evening sounds absolutely wonderful, and as Sharon said delivered just.....so ;)

Tomorrow is there for you to enjoy, as for table 13......think of all your friends who will be with you in spirit (mine's an ouzo) and just enjoy the company you will find there.

We are all going to Brouklis for a meal tonight. That should be fun. Christening table 13 in 2014 :-). I will try and post some photos while we are there. Anne x
We were in Arillas for 2 whole months and going again for 2 weeks :-)

Arillas Today started with thin, high cloud and balmy, mild temperatures. At points it started to get very breezy, and unlike yesterday, there was noticeable foam on the waves. The beach shrank as it does in these conditions, but the main area still has many acres for sunbeds. The North and South looked quite small, but I can only judge from the road view, I didn't walk it today.

Just now (5pm local) the hot sun has emerged, and it could be midsummer. But less challenging, just perfect. And the strimmers have stopped!

PnJ walked past Brouklis (with big waves from the Boss and John Payne) but fell at the second fence, and had beers in Armourada. It wasn't even Mythos o'clock, but we did anyway. Phil and Anne were swiftly sported off by Leon to see Verena and the newest member of the Armourada team. Assured he and mum are doing well. Vassillis is amazingly better from his back injury. You would never know it happened. Chaos indeed as they all worked on removing the winter log pile, and prepare for the season with the bladdy tourists (us) supping all the beer.

A quick walk (ha ha, PnJ doing quick? I think not....) along the front saw us meeting Ina (we bought some ciggy supplies) Spiros Bardis at Graziella and George Bardis trying to run away, but we trapped him and gave him big hugs. Beach Point next, which as yesterday saw many reprobates supping the cheap beer. That included Neill, but only one for him - had to get to Sidari.... (yes, I also wonder what the hell was going on....) Many locals were there again. Christos said "I know them already" when Eggy started to introduce us. Of course he does - every business owner in Arillas who sells beer knows Phil and Jen. Ha Ha.

The finest parts of the day were when Jen and I just sat with our crosswords and beer, all sorts of stuff going on around us, struggling with 5 across. We were in our spiritual home, at peace and sublimely happy. Such is our Arillas Today.

Arillas Today finds a very breezy beach front, indeed!!!

Reminds me of a girl I used to date. Gail was her name, Gail Forcewinds to be precise!

A pleasant time spent, in Armourada, with P n J plus Leszek and Angie. When I left there were many empty Mythos bottles on the table. ( But only 1 of mine, honest Guv! )

Got home to a Wegg, just back from the UK, after 10 days, plus a power cut. WOTSTHATALLABOUT?
She didn't mind - 36 hours without sleep - Aaah! the joys of a traveller.
Ne'er mind, power now back, as you can see, but I still have a dozy Wegg

A lovely 18 deg is enjoyed at just before 6pm. Pity about the wind. (The weather , not Phil. I mean!)
Phil n Jen, I can report are absorbing every super second of their time here and will have many tales to tell and, I hope, photos to post.

Anne n Phil, meanwhile settle very well into the laid back April time. In my opinion they are very brave to commit to a 3 month spell. They will enjoy, I am sure, as they have a front seat to watch Arillas come alive for the Summer.

Mon Amour planned tomorrow evening with all 4 guys.

I'll leave our "Roving Reporter" to give you the next update.

Cheers

And I will.....

Arillas Today could have blown you away, literally. The Mistraio or whatever name you have for the wind blew eveything and anything that was not fixed down. Barely a cloud in our sky, the sun doing its best to keep us warm but at points you were glad to have a woolie. Wasn't it that strange woman from No 10 who said "Everybody needs a woolie?" She said willie, but enough of that already.

PnJ did the perfect Arillas excursion. We got to Armourada, all of 400 yards away and sat for a pit-stop (ie Mythos for me) and 5 hours later we did the return trip. That 5 hours saw many friendly faces, and as Neill said, a table full of empty beer bottles. I have sat at worse, when the next one would see the table legs collapse. And in truth that was at Armourada as well. It is just that as we age, we need longer to empty them. Had we not felt the need to be showered and changed for our darts night in San Stef, it would have continued.

Arillas is full of news, new things and old ones. No, I am not going to spill all the beans. I never came here to gossip. So why am I posting Arillas Today? Because I want to.

LoveandHugs from a hugely satisfied and very happy Phil. Jen has a big smile to share as well.

The relentless pace of doing nothing continues to accelerate. Even after the Mythos and Whiskey bashing of last night, justphil has awoken at 0830. It is 0630 there in UK.

Arillas Today is a bit overcast. By clouds that is, not my mood. The three Ws in San Stef and all the darts players with whom we spent the evening lifted our spirits to a new high. Kites? Yes, but higher meluvvers.

Tonight we will be doing Mon Amour (ha ha - that means "my love" or meluvver in Glastospeak, my version of Anglais....) How such ordinary people are allowed to have so much joy and happiness I have never understood. Our week in Arillas has been even more than that in truth.

The 1mm of rain actually arrived - it lasted all of 5 minutes, and the sun is now trying to make an appearance. In spite of reputation, PnJ are having a quiet day in readiness for another Beano tonight. We are exhausted, but very content. At risk of boring you with yet another positive report, we are as near to heaven as it gets. And when this one ends, we know we have 3 more weeks in July. Do I prefer it quiet? Yes indeed. But as dear mate Neill has said, we soak up every precious minute.
