ARILLAS TV CRITICS SOCIETY
« on: October 07, 2012, 06:08:59 PM »
With the new TV series (Corfu:A Tale of Two Islands)starting on Thurs 11th I am sure that we could all swop thoughts and opinions of it on the forum.I hope it will cover all areas of Corfu and not just the East coast area from Kavos to Kensington on Sea(Kassiopi). The preview says that there are 10,000 ex-pats on Corfu and I thought there was only Eggy.Lets hope that it gives a genuine picture of the Corfu that we all know ,but at the same time explains the difficulties that people living on the island are experiencing that we may not all appreciate with only being visitors. If any forum member has any ideas on this please join the thread.

Hi all.  Apparently Sally from San stefanos Boat Hire is on the programme- episode 1 and episode 11 (if I remember correctly) - they posted the details on their Facebook site.  I think a wedding that she organised is featured in the programme.

As I posted on their site, I can guarantee that if the cameras were in Arillas then it will have been the exact moment that I fell flat on my face on the road by the beach:(

.The preview says that there are 10,000 ex-pats on Corfu and I thought there was only Eggy.

Only 10,000 now?. It seems that when ex-pats know I'm around they move elsewhere!! Rumour has it that I work for the British Government, helping to relocate people back to the UK.

But... more serious is that we can't get ITV here, on my smaller Sat.Dish.
(Maybe some one will DVD it for me?)

Cheers

I'm also looking forard to seeing the girls form S.S Travel in episode 1 & 3 [25th Oct]

Eggy, you could also watch it on Filmon. It has all the English channels & it's free. Just Google Filmon & see. It does sometimes freeze though, so still get someone to record it for you.

xx

Nice to see San Stef again on episode 3 but a little disappointed at the emphasis given to the East coast. They dont seem to be the sort of people we meet in Arillas.Maybe more of the north west coast later in the series hopefully?

sorry but I agree - in fact if I had never visited Corfu then this programme but never inspire me to go - ever... full of posh snobs with too much money and no sense and party kids...... sorry. this is not the Corfu we know and love ......

Think tonight was the best episode yet..as far as reality is concerned..of a wide range of people from all walks of life trying to make a living on this beautiful island, ..the scenery was great and Scarlett Blissett Paizanos and her husband showed life as it is.
