Eggy's knackered people!
These late nights and long days are catching up on me!
Tuesday Night was a bring n Buy darts sale at Night Owl with a bumper raffle.
( Long night - much fun had by all and a pleasure to be beaten by Capt Bob who won the first prize of the "Golden Darts".)
Now.... Last night at Rainbow bought together 8 very good darts players to compete in the K/O. There was not an easy game to be had!
First Games were:-
Kev ( Of Kev n Bev ) vs Geoff ( On holiday here and hubby of Sheila - Forum Member)
Shame that Kevs, Darts Shirt with "Silver Fox" as a logo failed to help.
Poor Timbo , coach of James , son of Cheryl was drawn against James. -Bye Timbo.
Spiros ( Rainbow ) vs Alexandra ( daughter ) - Bravo Alexandra for concentraing and remembering that he's an opponent to be shot at and not your daddy.
Eggy vs Dimitris ( Rainbow ) - What easy progress for Jimmy.
( He did ask me if I had truned up !)
Then Geoff vs James - A cracker of a game which saw Geoff move one step forward.
Then Alexandra vs Dimitris - 2-1 to young 13+ year old Alex here.
( The girl done good )
Final - Geoff vs Alex. Alex popped a lovely 140 in the first leg but stuttered slightly and --- one down. She then made it one each but Geoff then won the decider!
A new Champ at the Rainbow!.- Well done Geoff - Hope to play a few games with you.
Points to note.
Spiros had 165 left and hit T20, T20 and then went for another - and missed
( I did remind him that, if he'd hit the third he would have bust - So? - He said - It's fun - I just wanted to hit 180!)
James misses 20's very rarely and holds his concentration well.
So does Geoff which is why their game was a cracker.
( Love to see them play another best of 3 - A pleasure to mark the board)
Alex can really play well but, just sometimes she beats herself.
( Two years time, if she continues to enjoy the game she will be very hard to beat! )
Timbo finds that red bit but now needs those doubles.
Dimitris , was like the man who you play in the Winter League. He takes no prisoners and the writing was on the wall when Eggy fell 100+ behind.
Kevin, the Silver Fox man. - Very unlucky. His first round was against the eventual winner. I think play that again and the result may be different.
Must get Kevin and Geoff and Alex etc together again.
A word for our supporters now.
Erja & Co. Barry & Co. Graham n Julie, Sandy and Howard. Cheryl of course.
Jen n Jan , I think. Two ladies that took part in the raffle and won again.
( They won a bottle of Ouzo the night before! )
I now have to go away and plan my competition strategy. Playing in the afternoon with a drink or two is not recommended if you want to continue it though the evening.
Too much falling down water will damage your arm.
( And , when you can see two treble 20's it's time to go home! )
That said 'tis a lotto fun.
Well done all there for making a good night out.

( Bugger - Is this a posting or have I just written a book ?? )
