Tried the impregnated bands last October and they seemed to work but then there aren't as many mozzies about then. This time I'm taking some for wrists to try to avoid the bitten fingers.

Anything is worth a try. Jen.

I have seen the outcome of the mozzie bites, but as yet I find they steer clear of me
Hope this continues as I rarely use any kind of repellant

Bit of useless info here on why mosquitos bite some but not others.
According to an anthropologist friend they go for common blood types (eg. O, O+), so if you're one of those who doesn't get bitten, be carefull not to need a transfusion 'cos you're a rare type !

I bought a metre of impregnated band and made it into wrist and arm bands one year...  almost made one to go round Mikes head (it was combat green colors) but thought he would look like Rambo... LOL.. Kept them away whilst we were sleeping though.

I spray diluted citronella oil around the door and window frames and on the bedding at night too, burn citronella incense sticks too... you name it we have done it!

I mentioned one time before that we had one of those burning coils on the verandah... dont do what we did!!!  brought it inside... it was merrily burning away for a bit, we nearly died from the fumes and it set the smoke alarm off!  Lesson learnt there!

Sounds hilarious BG. Jen and me bring Nag Champa incense sticks we can buy here in la-la land (Glastonbury) and burn them on the balcony/verandah if we ever sit out in the evening or late. They create a very pleasant smell, and seem to keep the little b*****s at bay.

Your dreams of Mike being Rambo might be for a different forum though.....
lol

I have just read a mozzie bite cure... rub the inside of a banana skin on the bite and it reduces swelling and irritation.  Might be worth a try!

I read that too as one of the tips about Bananas.  Seems like they are a good all round food, good for everything.
