Yippee I now have 2 Arillas holidays booked.  June 24th with husband James for 10 days, we are staying at Marinaki again.  Also am having a girlie week with friend Claire on 5th Sep. She is super fit and wants to spend the week walking and cycling. Hope I survive to report back!  No accommodation booked for that week yet - thinking of trying Akti - might there be a noise problem there?  Any advice most welcome.

I purchased a copy last year and made good use of it whilst on holiday.

Dorothy, we always stay at akti and we dont have problems with noise. Maybe its because we're in the bar making the noise!! Seriously though, if you ask kostas to put you in the rooms at the back of the main building(odd numbers) you shouldnt have a problem. We are there from 2nd sept for our 2nd visit of the season so see you if you decide on akti.

Dorothy dearest, hello! For once it isn't in the street outside Yitoas!!!

It is so hard to choose between Akti, Marina and Horizon. As Glenda says (and I've heard from many others) the rear rooms at Akti are quieter. It is a lovely place to stay, and Spiros is the perfect host. Lovely pool, great atmosphere. But I could say similar about the others. You can't go wrong with any of them.

Sadly we miss you this year, so Slante! And maybe next time we can all while away an hour or two in Ammos, or anywhere else for that matter...

I have used the Marengo Wallks book for quite a few years now. It's well written and presented and small enough to fit a large pocket. It comes with a waterproof cover and a very detailed map giving roads,paths, goat trails and landmarks, great value and easy to use.
