That's great news about your dad BG. I think Mike and yourself will enjoy the holiday even more now, after your fears about not being able to go.

BTW - the new photo is really good.

Hi Blondegirl
Hope your Dad continues to get better and I agree with Terry you'll feel a lot more content on holiday.

Thanks Terry and Mary.  The photo isnt a new one though, its from a previous holiday and meal at the Thassala.  I look very shiny though!

Well...having found this forum some time ago it prompted us to look at coming to Arillas. We convinced some friends to try it out and they went in to the Mathraki in June. They thought it was great and on their recommendation we have booked for ourselves and arrive on the 29th August for two weeks at the Mathraki. The accommodation and resort sound like everything we want from a holiday... we are true grecophiles and love the people and small resorts ... can't beat a full night relaxing at a local taverna with good food, a couple (or more!!) caraffs of local wine, good company and the odd nightcap or three on the way home. Also .... not wanting to do things by half we saw a great deal for next June so there are 6 of us coming to the Kaloudis on June 15th 2009.

Looking forward to having a natter and drink with anyone who might be passing

Thanks for the reply... nearly there now. It's an early flight from Doncaster on Friday so should see some of the sun on that day... I'm sure we'll sample some local hospitality later on!!

Will keep an eye out for you and share a cold beer or two.

I just had to have a look at all my holiday gear again and re-sort it out for the 3rd time....I am trying to streamline it down and have managed to leave out some more stuff I dont need...hopefully will have lighter bags this year.  You cant tell I am excited can you?

We dont have tickets as we are flying with EJ and book in with our passports, although I must remember to phone Dorita for a taxi next week!  (as if I would forget!).  Hope the forecast is good for Corfu, wont have to put too many clothes in... weather in the UK in September is supposed to be more summery, typical!  Every minute, every hour is getting nearer!
