Got home last night and found that the tickets had arrived. Yippee!!

Off to Scarborough on Easter Sunday for a couple of nights then to Whitby for three nights.

Will really start thinking about Arillas once that is over. Mind you only 30 sleeps.

My husband and I will be arriving on 6th May for our very first visit.  We've got a lovely long stay, almost a month at the Kaloudis.  Long enough to read Durrell's Corfu trilogy.  Judging by all the great feeling on this forum we will have an absolutely delightful stay!

Janis

I took "my family and other animals" on my first visit to Kaloudis.  This year will be our fourth visit there!
You'll love the rest of Arillas also - as does everyone here on the forum and many other friends as well!

So looking 4wd to be back in lovely Arillas again...so many hours over the months spent in daydreams there, and now not too long to the reality.
Have had such a busy time, builders in, redoing the garden, blisters on hands have worked like a navvie...yet...for lady forum members only...have gained a stone in last 6 months and cannot shift it!!! Is this an age thing? Spent my 20s yo yo ing between a size 8-14, 30s skinny as a rail, early 40s size 14, mid to late size 8...now a stone has taken me up to a 10 which sounds fine, but all is heading South and my upper arms have turned to Blancmange...if I wave goodbye to anyone...my lower arms are still waving after I have stopped...whats all that about???
Really should not bother me, am not a shallow person..but only a few weeks of my forties left scares me what the next decade will bring, maybe I shoild just give up and relax as our mothers did at that age...too much pressure on our generation maybe to keep on trying...am I the lone ranger on this one or does anyone else feel this way? x

Janis

Hi Georgia - looking forward to meeting you there! we arrive on 20th for two glorious weeks... and you know what? I'll not see a person with flabby arms or anything else, I'll see YOU, Georgia, a forum member with whom I've chatted over the years. Speaking on behalf of the many ladies in our fifties, yes it does worry you seeing the changes to our bodies but - hey, we're still alive and are still enjoying life no matter what shape! and, by the way, I'm almost twice your size! It's taken a while, and a fair bit of heartache along the way, but now I LIKE ME x x
I intend to enjoy life while I can -  we don't know what's around the corner

Four weeks until I get there with my family. I'm really starting to look forward to our arrival. We're trying to choose where to eat for our first evening meal when we get there.
