Sara luvver, thank you for all these posts and reminders. Arillas Today is much richer for having you and Gary in residence there at Villa Theia.

And the forum is much richer for having Eggy's pic of you at the darts the night before last. I justloved that pic of yous..... Cringe??????

But I am so desperate to get out there with you all. So is my Jen. We really have to be realistic about it though. Having seen Maggie and Gordon do it, sell everything and go for it, we feel like charlatans. But we will never sell everything and maybe we don't want it as much as they do. But we both know how much we do want it.

Arillas Today is tearing me apart. I will only be back together in July, when I am back there for real. What is it about this place that sucks in your soul?

Phil, I wish I had the answer to that & I know exactly what you're going through. Even though we have our place here, we can't afford to move here permanently unless we sell our business or our home. Over the last few days we've talked about nothing else. Now is not a good time to try & sell the business, but we could sell our home & get someone to run the business for us...........oh, it's tempting thought.

I'm looking forward to meeting Maggie for the first time & finding out all about her life.

We posted at the same time Riggers, but what I will add is that.....
I'm sat here in my home'[it's strange saying that] with a log fire burning [& a Metaxa in hand!!], I heard a Scoop owl outside earlier, the weather has been fantastic today - blue skies & even bluer sea, a couple of people called & we sat out & chatted, unrushed & relaxed with swallows flying overhead. I know tomorrow we are going out & we are going to have such a good time with friends & locals. We will wake up to the sound of just the birds singing & the cockerel next door & enjoy fresh bread, toasted with eggs given to us by our neighbour who can't speak a word of English & I only know a few words of Greek, but we get by................ need I go on?

THAT'S just a few reasons why we love Arillas.

It might be strange now, but it won't be down the line. Ask Maggie. Ask Neill and Wendy. Hard winter but nearly forgotten. Jen and me want to share it. PLEASE....

Phil

You WILL share it Phil & Jen. I know because you want it so much, but you've got to make it happen. It ain't easy, but it is achievable.

I have JUST [11:00] taken this photo of a swallow taking a scoop of water.

It's going to be another beautiful day here.
