Arillas fast approaches a "Ghostie Town" but in the nicest possible way as all our "Entertainers" in the form of bar and waiting staff and owners , and friends we all have secured ,now well deserve some time with families and of course some outstanding work at home or with those Olive trees!!

Beach Kostas is closed and Rainbow follows suit on Sunday as I think will Tria. Eftihia has finished for the Summer and Grazella/Vinceremos possible finish Sunday, Not sure of others.
WOTTABUMMER but a necessary BUMMER. However a hard pill to swallow when we have such good weather and will miss all these guys!!!

He will be missed and yet another part of Arillas which is hard to replace. We have seen so many Locals and friends leave us over the 16 years we have been here. Life moves on I suppose?

Arillas today and Marina Pool Bar has all lounger cushions lined up in military fashion , around the walls, for a tad of cleaning.
Just a few die hards now hover around the bar doing their best to empty the fridge of whatever's available!

Tis the last night at Grazella on Sunday but Brouklis plods on as will , I think Thalassa.

Rainbow will see their last 2 guests depart at 07:30 tomorrow morning and then the clear up begins.
(Have a safe trip home Jefffrey with a J , and Kit n Sharon)

Around 25 deg at 6pm and not many left to enjoy it. - Bummer,

This was Arillas, yesterday afternoon, after a mid morning heavy thunderstorm/winds which gave us 18mm of rain in the space of 90 minutes.

I am told there was an earthquake on Thursday around 6pm? Twas felt in Arillas and the epicentre was Paliokastrisa apparently. I heard diddley!! -(can't remember the last time the earth moved for me)

A dry afternoon after a tad of drizzle but the weather has not been good. 20mm of rain since yesterday morning and a good 'ole breeeze in Arillas when I was there.

Good to be home and watching the Grand Prix of darts.

I have been watching the webcam on and off and have noticed that a bike/motorbike has been parked on the front for a couple of weeks. It blew over, on one of breezier days, and someone picked it up. But, it’s still there. I can’t believe anyone in Corfu would ‘borrow’ a bike and not return it...
