You can kiss goodbye to 2 Greek salads possibly at e7 a pop (Max??) If this couple went for Corfu beers and not the bog standard Mythos / Alpha you could put another e5 a bottle. (Plus service charge?)

I will still have a dig around.

I called in. They didn't have a menu to show me as they are still finding their feet. They said its very much street food style, tacos as mentioned, with different specials each evening. He also said they plan to have things like sausage rolls in the morning.

Twill be interesting to see any reviews from future customers. Either way it is good to see someone take it on instead of leaving another empty property on the front.

8 am and 29 deg already! - Whatever happened to string vests.?
Kevin - where do you buy yours? - (2nd hand from Rab C Nesbit??)

and..... Has anyone  noticed there are more young Italians visiting this year, or is it my imagination?
Cheers

Karl
(Somewhere, in Arillas, I will not name)

We have just paid e30.50 for.
2 small draught beers
1 Large Mythos
1 Ouzo and water
1 ginger beer
1 saganaki,

So , in Sidari at a favorite place of mine.
2 large draught beers
1 large Mythos
1 Ouzo and water
1 Corfu ginger beer
1 bacon and cheese burger and chips (Not a Saganiki starter)
Total cost e20.

But... You have to ask the question,
a. Do you travel to Sidari to save e10 on lunch?
b. Have you got the same sea view ?
c. Do you feel part of the family elsewhere?

That said it does pay to shop around and maybe take the time to pop into places, maybe the day before,  to peruse the menu before you visit - Get more for your holiday bucks and do a tad of research first.
Cheers

Off we jolly well go with yet another "very fine" Arillas Today - Currently 29 deg at 8:30am. - bummer!!!

I am told that the "Old Beach Point" is having some good reveiws on facebook.
(Wish I could remember the new name!! - I was there yesterday "nosing" at the menu)

and I am told that I am out of touch with prices. Apparently 30e for what we drank/ate is very good?
With Wegg still in the UK is has also been a massive eye opener being responsible for Supermarket shopping.
(Wotever 'appened to that 1e for a sliced loaf and e1.50 for butter???)

Cheers

The only flames I see around Arillas Today are those pointed at cigarettes so not that bad.
(Unless yer on 60 a day)

Panics around Perithea and credit to the Greek Firemen etc,  for staying ahead of the situation.

I have to go now as my underpants have just caught fire!!!

Cheers

For those of you soon to be over and for those of you currently here ,melting away.

Two numbers to note should you see any fires, especially on any walkabouts.
199 or 112 will connect you with the main office or fire station.

Cheers

That is extremely helpful Negg, thank you. We leave today and hope everyone on the island remains safe.
I also found out that if you have a smart phone make sure the latest software update is installed to be able to receive any emergency instructions in your area.
112 Greece also has a twitter page that has been regularly updated.
