Just like to say that my last post didn't mean we don't like children

Ha Ha Val, can just see you and Bill with big nets ....

John if you could have seen us this morning you would have gone and bought us a big net, we were looking after the fifteen month old, he can push his walker faster than we can run and crawl from the living to the playroom at the speed of light. He has also found that he can crawl behind the sofa which is too heavy for us to move without giving us heart attacks.😂

The love affair continues.

Arillas Today was "sprog free" as Erja, Heide, Timbo, Kaylee plus moi all winged our way to Three W's for an afternoons binge and chatter.
(Their afternoon binge as I only had red wine - The new me, drinking less as I spill most of it!!)

Anyway , their company was very welcome and many smiles were had. We were spoilt , not only by the hospitality of Margerita n Krisanthos , Three W's , but also by the very laid back 27 deg which was very welcome after those high humid temps we have had to put up with.

Weggs will be back for Saturday and, as usual, will return to a clean house with mopping/washing and those other boring chores which we men take for granted.
Tonight I refuse to share a can of Whiskas , with the cat's and will cook my own meal. (Felix biscuits with hot milk added springs to mind)

Meanwhile , whilst I am slaving away , no doubt Timbo , Erja n all will be enjoying their time in Coconut. ----  I don't care!! - Got a DVD to watch.

So , Bill , Lollipops all round at Mathraki. Ouzo flavoured to keep the little buggers subdued. (cardboard cut outs of Val n Bill may yet be available)

Cheers
Negg

Arillas today has seen sun followed by thick cloud (edge of a thunder storm which is still rumbling) and winds at lower and higher levels going in opposite directions! Now, at a little after 12, the sun it trying to make an appearance and it's 27 deg. It better come out soon otherwise we'll have teens with faces like you experience on a wet week's holiday in the UK. However we are enjoying just being back home! :-D

It's warming up lovely here in England and supposed to reach 30 degrees today! However I've got no pool to cool off in or beautiful clear blue sea to have a swim! I have a sunbed in the garden but not quite the same with out the sound of the waves in the background or the Greek man shouting......"Cherries, come and buy some juicy cherries, fresh coconut, plums" etc
I can't send the hubby up to Beach Point for a coffee and later on perhaps a gyros pitta with a cold beer from Alex's supermarket. I can't wander into Effi's for lunch or Gratsella or wherever takes my fancy!
I'm also missing my chats with Dimitri on the beach!
Most of all I can't people watch! Haha!
I really wouldn't mind a bit of cloud if I were still in Arillas. I hope the sun returns for you soon.
I'm sure it will...enjoy!

Yes, not the same as being in Arillas  is it Suzy. It really amazes me when you return home from holiday and everyone raves about how nice the weather has been in the UK - like it is the same? Don't get me wrong pleased for all those people holidaying in the UK as the weather really does make a difference.  We are away for a few days in Lincoln this weekend and just looked at the forecast and guess what it has forecast light rain on Saturday and Sunday!

Steph - I would still rather be there - cloud and wind included  but I know what  you mean. Teenagers just don't think the same. Knowing Arillas the sun will shine again soon. Enjoy!

Stephanie

Thanks Sonia! The sun eventually came out around 2 for a couple of hours so happy faces restored and, when the clouds gathered again, were placated with an ice cream :-D They seem ok - think we are just disappointed its not been as hot & sunny since our arrival as we have previously experienced in July/Aug and it's their first time here. Oh well, Aqualand awaits tomorrow and forecast is looking much better! May be other storm clouds on Thurs depending  the GCSE results of one teen!!!!

Eggy

WOTIS dis wet stuff that casually lands upon me , from the sky??. At 6:30pm it is most welcome as I do not have to water the garden and the tommies and peppers will look so edible n shiny in the morning.

As y'all say , it has been a funny 'ole day but this is , maybe , Arillas deciding what it thinks you need tonight.
Rain stays in?? - Malibu n Coconut to drain yer sorrows.? Undercover in a nice Taverna. -? Find a place to meet those guys you shoulda met a few days ago?
Rain goes away??  - Same thing , really , just a different excuse.

Stay well and enjoy - I will be out there washing my socks afore you read this! - Come home Weggs , all is forgiven!

9 days and we are back at the Bardis Sun Studios for our 2nd visit this year, nicely timed for the Arillas wine festival on the 3rd of September.
Looking forward to being back in paradise again.

Enjoy Chris. It was nice to meet you in June.

So glad that you agree Sonia

I've had a great  day today looking after the Grand kids in this glorious weather that we are having and watching them splash about in the  paddling pool.(not quite big enough for me though!)
It was also lovely when when our son and daughter in law finished work and we all walked to the pub and had our dinner outside which is so rare due to our usual rainy summer!
However the sea bass which the hubby and I had was quite good but not as good as Gratsella or Thomas's, neither was the red wine.
We also couldn't hear the waves lapping against the pebbles as we were eating (Gratsella's) or hear the cicadas in the trees(Thomas's)
No amazing sunset!
It wasn't as cheap as either!
All in all a smashing day with the family with beautiful weather and like you Sonia i'm really pleased for everyone holidaying in England when the weather is great....
But.....
It's just not the same as being in Arillas!

Happy to report that Arillas this morning is sunny!! In fairness, it was here yesterday evening and we had a gorgeous sunset. so lovely to wake up to the sun steaming in.

30 deg with a 'real feel' of 37 at gone 5pm. That's certainly more like it! Fun times at the (busy) Mirage pool and happy teens - especially the one who got her GCSE results today!!  Celebratory waffles at lunch and celebratory pizzas this evening - her call. We'll be on the celebratory beers :-D

Erja

Arillas today has been hot hot hot and the sea balmy. As it was so hot most of it was spent under water in Sharon's pool or in the sea.

Once again our holiday here has been the bees knees and a ton of fun has been had along with lazy days by the pool, looooong leisurely dinners in various establishments, couple of road trips with Eggy and the other reprobates and we also managed to squeeze in one sports day when we climbed up the hill to Akrotiri.

Tomorrow is the last day so everything will be maxed up enjoyment wise before we get picked up for the airport early Friday morning. We have packed as much we can today so that we can spend the extra precious couple of hours at the pool and the sea tomorrow. ;)

The love affair with Arillas continues and we have already paid the Boss a deposit for next summers stay.

I have only one more thing to add - Life is so very goog 8)
Life is good ;)
