With a 35deg Kavaddades Balcony temp, at 6pm, what is called my brain, and I could face prosecution here, under the trades description act, has melted.

No need to torture the cats, Val, as nature is doing it for us.

Homer is currently mixing a Bacardi , heavy on the ice , as I type. Fritz hides under the car and Megg, I think, was last seen on the top shelf of the fridge!!
(And I thought the purring was the fridge working overtime in the heat)

Never got to Arillas Sea front, but saw a "creepy" mist, from Sandy's balcony, hovering over the beach.
Would love to know more from those who were around there.

There you have it. Rain is now forecast, on our super duper temp monitor, but if I believe that then I also believe Ouzo is a mozzie repellent. (Spray on Ouzo? - Now there is a thought!)

Cheers
Negg

No Eggy! you drink it first! then you get hot, which causes you to perspire greatly, the perspiration then oozes. or ouzos,( depending on the translation), out of the pores, the mozzies then get a free drink on you, and become instantly bladdered, and fall off!

No bites, and you feel extremely relaxed, at the same time!

Works for me anyway!

A 'gentle ramble' gazcaz???? I get the perfect steak at horizon (check) I get the gorgeous music (check) but GENTLE RAMBLE? Its a MIRACLE I arrived at the night owl without suffering a STROKE. Next time we will take the SECOND hill so that I will actually be able to WALK with my poor poor legs for the ensying week. Did it in FLIP FLOPS as well.

Jo, it was a gentle ramble in my heat stroked brain. In actual fact it was more like an episode of Tenko, made worse by our 11am start. Luckily we snuck into the Panorama for a Royal Ionian around midday. Today appears to be hot and cloudless, well there's a surprise. Gary

Arillas Today first brings me this this question......

Anyone recognise this large caterpillar like insect.
(Rescued in the garden, this morning, from 2 curious cats)

With 29 deg and sunny at midday I just might take advice from Gaz.
(I don't mean the gentle ramble , I mean the drink ouzo first)

Cheers

Just Googled Weird Caterpillars.....couldn't find that particular one Neill but there are quite a few very like yours. Lots with markings that make them look like aliens.

Hi Neill

I think it looks like an Oleander Sphinx caterpillar. :)

Tim
I always have a great holiday in Arillas.... I wish I could take it up professionally!

Tim

I googled it and you are quite right. I suppose the clue was finding it under an Oleander tree!

Odds are now in his favour to eventually become a moth as the cats have no idea where he now resides.
With 33deg at 5pm I just might join him under those leaves!

What a lovely creature, now the task is to photograph it once it's pupated! Sorry if that's not correct phrase!

Hels Bels

Not sure about pupated, but, WOTDOIKNOW!!
Sounds like something I feel after a hot curry.
Anyway , super little piece of nature that we can all enthuse about.

Not long afore you are here so hope this 'ole 30 deg continues to hover for you and all "Arilliacs"

On the Calender I see a "sneaky" visit by Erga n Heide , tomorrow?? - Little buggers. (Ne'er told me!!!)
Big slapping in order for the dynamic duo.

Cheers
