Oh it is getting so exciting now. Stop buggering about with your strimmer - new one on its way all safely stored in the campervan :-). It would be great if we could all have a meal together in the Marvel and maybe a few bevvies too ;). I cant wait to see what all the activity has been about - I know it will be an improvement - even though I thought it was perfect anyway. Anne x
We were in Arillas for 2 whole months and going again for 2 weeks :-)

Neill, you could get yourself a goat, much more friendly than that strimmer, and it could get down the bank without a push. :)

If it was a nanny goat you could get Wegg to milk it and make cheese ;)

Then again Anne and Phil could come round and give you lessons on how to start the new one.

on the nappies someone at work told me a couple of years ago that you can order nappies from boots and pick them up at airport when you go thorough to departures so they dont count on your weight

Am sure my daughter did that when her children were small.
Mind you the youngest is now 10 years old so it was a long time ago.

Wow what a great idea! Wish I had known than when my twins were tiny! I seem to remember that we took what we could then just bought non-branded ones from the Kaloudis supermaket which were absolutely fine.

From what I've been told you can either call Boots on 0845 121 9088  to place an order, or place it online http://www.boots.com/

If ordering online you must state in the delivery instructions box that you want to pick it up at their air-side branch, also adding your flight number, departure date and time. It's best to pick up at an air-side branch as you can then carry on your purchase as duty free.

A call to the above number should confirm if what I've been told is correct.

I may be incredibly old-fashioned and out-of-date but what's wrong with "real" nappies???
A dozen terry nappies takes up less space in your suitcase than a dozen disposable ones, it takes a couple of minutes to wash them through in the morning and drying them is a cinch because, unlike the UK, you actually get sun in Corfu.
Worked fine for me when we took 2 little ones in nappies away to Corfu all those years ago when disposable nappies were still a new-fangled invention which had not even reached parts of England, never mind Corfu!
OK – the downside is that you spend a few minutes of your holiday washing nappies, (although probably LESS time than you would spend hunting around supermarkets for more supplies of disposable ones) - but the upside is that you save a fortune on disposable ones, the only thing you have to buy is a small pack of washing powder which is available very cheaply at any of the local supermarkets.

And before you say anything Eileen – Yes, I know I'm a dinosaur! :-)

I wouldn't fancy washing nappies every day - Uuurgh! I mean what do you do first before you wash it.
Don't you have to remove the "nasty bits"?
And .... if not, please don't put them in the washing machine with my bath towels!

Looks like we need a nappy topic here.

Another 18 deg here at 1 pm. - Let's hope it keeps up for you April visitors.
Anne - A meal is on the cards when you arrive.

Cheers

Eggy - I would be nappy to oblige! :-)
However, I suspect that you are taking the pi** out of me and my nappies.
As for the nasty bits - well usually that's only once or twice a day, and anyway that's what nappy liners are for, easy to remove and flush said bits down the loo.

its the same with milk , you can order that through Boots and take it throgh and its not on your weight, we did it three times last year :-) . I could hardly pick the hand luggage up it was that heavy !!!  lol . Won't need to this year as the youngest is now on "normal" milk as opposed to the baby milk

You can't flush toilet paper down the loo so "Pooey" nappy liners must be a "no-no"?

You will not believe what some guests flush down the toilets of Villas we look after.
Blocked loos and guests call us and we call the plumber who proudly finds and displays the problem!
BIG UUURGH! - It may be S**T to us but it's their bread n butter.

Duck tape a bucket to the little ones botty is the way to go.

Lets have a thread on nappy liners. To Poo or not to Poo , that is the question.
(My motto was , when younger...
"A Crappy Nappy does not please Pappy! - Bin it and then make him very happy"

Tis been a super Arillas today and 22deg at 5pm is not to be sniffed at. Many vibes being taken here on the sea front, this pm, with a calm sea and beach which looks better every day.

Can I forecast  a super dry time for end of March or begin of April? - Yeah, go for it!!!

Eggy - I can't believe we are having a conversation about infant excrement - but then I always do talk a load of sh** !!
And yes, I know you can't flush the nappy liners down the loo - I wasn't suggesting that, just that they are an easy way to seperate the bits from the nappy, then tip them into the loo and bin the liner in the toilet paper bin provided. Simples! [squeeks] :-)

22 degrees !!! ??????  Lucky bu****

Nappies, nappies.... Bill says he can't even remember ever dealing with them. That because he didn't. Left to him our kids would have been bare ar**d. ;)
