Just tried to book our usual 2 weeks with TC for 26th September, but not available from East Midlands. Apparently they only have 7 or 21 day breaks available on this date. I can book 7 days, and 7days are available the following week(3 Oct). Given how quite Arillas has been, Whatsthatallabout!!! Only Manchester or Newcastle showing as available.

This so annoys me. It seems to be yet another device to put people off the holidays the Tour Operators don't want them to take, so they will book one which makes more money.

Maybe our Joe can shed some light, but when they offer two one-week holidays and then refuse the same two weeks as a fortnight, I am lost. Do they expect you to pay to fly back in the middle, sit in the airport and get back on the same plane and fly back for your second week?

Something smells very bad here. Like Mathraki being unavailable for every week of next year from Thomson. Our owners need to start taking a big interest in what Thomas Crook and others are pulling on them.

Phil just checked Mathraki for a couple dates next year  and it was available for all the dates I checked.

Val luvver, I'm a suspicious, cynical old bull. But I've heard so many negative reports over the last months about tour operators shafting the owners in Arillas, I'm beginning to get paranoid....

I'm glad that Mathraki are getting a fairer deal now. There's a series of posts on the forum from someone trying to firmly book them and couldn't, just like Nise's post suggests for TC.

Thanks for checking it out again. If we all look after our Arillas owners, they'll still be offering their amazing hospitality for many years to come.

Phil you're not paranoid, I was in touch with Akis about Thomsons selling holidays for 2011 at Mathraki after he had told me that they hadn't at that time signed a contract for next year, I hope the information gave the family a little bit of "negotiation power" at the time considering some key weeks were already almost sold out.

We have to just hope that our friends in Arillas who are only surviving by taking the meagre "all season price" offered by the tour operators get the best deal they can.

With VAT rising in Jan and the increasing cost of fuel, the independent bookers are finding the cost of getting to our little piece of heaven a lot higher for 2011. As you keep saying we need more people to visit to help everyone to survive these hard times.
I intend to keep on promoting Arillas to everyone who will listen or look at my photos and then point them in the direction of............... arillas.com.

Nise...... please check your local TC shop you may find they can over ride the problem you're having trying to book two weeks, ( hope so).
