All looking good, those photos are brilliant, just what we need to cheer us up and remind us of Arillas in these dark gray days of the U.K winter!

Good news is, there's lots of sand being washed in!

So, Who remembers a " Round Tuit " ?

I seem to re-call that, many years ago, when I visited various seaside locations, there was always a little "nic-nac" shop that sold those cheapy plates printed with the words " A ROUND TUIT" These were bought for the people who didnt have or who never could get "Around Tuit"
I feel that that now! - I never seem to get around to it so need all the help I can get.
( Even a plate with a printed reminder is a help )
Complacency has set in. - Maybe not complacency but just pure lazy - Who knows.!

It's been a hard Winter, so far. The worst of our 3 Winters here and we're not alone.
Everybody feels it. But our local Greek friends just take it on the chn and get on with life. We, and I mean the majority of newbies here, feel like our little peice of paradise is being whittled down to a "Same s**t, different location"

The weather has been harsh to us all and, as you know, our soil banks have collapsed twice now. - JCB digger removal job. We're not alone on this as it's happened to many areas of private land and public roads too.
( Armenades road last week  impassible due to a dirt barricade.)

So, "Same s**t, different location" ? - Nah! Those little snippets in life here can just keep your head above water.

1. A lovely lunch with Dimitris, Litza and young Spiros recenty
( Litsa does a very nice marinated octopus )
2. Bavias Taverna for some really tender Goat in a red wine sauce last week.
3. Visits from our really good Greek Fireman neighbour for a chat.
4. The ability to stroll down our track and pick fresh oranges from a tree.
5. The welcome from such a good family at Armourada when playing darts.
( Food laid on , no charge ) - The welcome is there at all times - Darts or luchtime.
6. Having a good 'ole rabbit with Nickos and Linda at Night Owl and Dimitris and Spiros from Rainbow - Tis their local Donchyerknow?
7. A little walk to our local Kafenio to collect the mail and sitting outside with a coffee and ouzo. - Just watching the world go by.
8. Mon Amour and getting excited about the pork roll you see on the spit, as you walk in. - Very nice it was too.
9. Three W's at Agious Stephanos. Xrisanthos thinks he's Phil Taylor now.

As I said - A harsh Winter for all. For me and Wegg a harsh Winter has been added to a large bill for a car which meant we were off the road for over 3 weeks.
Car back but one more bit left to do)
Another big bill for building a retaining wall near the house.
(Might have to build a smaller version now further down our track)
Rain and more rain - unable to get that garden prepared for planting.
Extra cash outlay to switch from our builders electric to domestic electric.
Petrol now e1.30 a litre. - Cashpoints only work when there is an " F " in the month
No "F" in cashpoint last month!
You begin to think the whole world is against you. - Must be an English thing as, once again, the Greeks take it all in their laid back and very enviable style.

Then..... to top it all I can't get pics on the Forum. Image shack has got me foxed and Terry W's help of "Pic re-sizer" seemed to be OK until it said something like....
.... I have to pay. - Terry I may be in touch soon.

And....... I've just remembered why I logged in.
Arillas Today
Temps around 12 deg and rain started about 2 pm this afternoon. (after 3 dry days)
Arillas beach looking good. Feisty waves and a little breeze but the type that makes you want to walk along the little beach, that has fought so well to be there, and say - Yeah! - I'm here and I'm going to be here yet for a while.

Pics soon people -  when I can get " A ROUND TUIT"

Cheers
