As you little lot have been going through "lack-Arillas.com" withdrawal symtoms, and crawling up walls, I thought it only fair to give you an update on Arillas today.

Although only 12 deg outside at around 8 a.m.ish we got around the 18 deg mark very early afternoon.

.

.
A respectable beach but no one here to take a casual stroll along it!

The 'ole kelp makes it's first Winter appearance but a good bout of bad weather will quickly see that off. ( We hope ! )

The temp now drops very quickly and we're back to around 14 deg at 5:30 pm.

We have bitten that "bullet" and the heating is now up n running. 21 deg inside so can't be that bad. A touch of the roastie lamb and a good bottle of wine tonight, then settle down and see what we can't find to watch on Sky. ( Repeats/Repeats )

Cheers All

Thanks for the pics.  Arillas occasionally looked pretty empty when we were there in September when we had a spot of rain.  However it quickly filled up again unlike it will for the next few months.
Have been getting my Arillas fix by looking over some old pics from our visit in 2004 - have put them on facebook if you have a few moments to spare click below:

Just had a look at your lovely pictures on facebook, and, if you don't mind me saying, what a fantastic collection of Speedos you have.

Dear DaisysMum
Of course I don't mind you saying so.  You are not the first to comment on this forum on this subject.  However am very glad you like the pictures - it's just great to think about sun, sea, and sand in Corfu and especially Arillas.
Best wishes

ouzo dear, welcome to our world - built with you in mind.....

Our madhouse forum is full of Arilliacs and Arillas Addicts (someone please tell me the difference.....)

All of us adore Arillas and adore being there. You might have clocked that if you have read us. Please keep making your contributions to our Arillas discussions. We might sound mental, but actually we are really quite clever - we know what heaven is.

Thankyou Phil. Hoping to to get there next year, we just love Arillas. There is no where on this earth like it. :):):)

We're currently in our 3rd "rain free" day here in Arillas and surrounding areas and I found a selection of parking places in Arillas today.
.

.
Far too quiet and made me wish I had to struggle for a spot to leave Pug.
Anyway, Arillas is recovering from the weather that bought quite a few trees down and collapsed many a raised bank around the area.
.

.

.
The bad weather has done Arillas a big favour and is currently having an early spring clean of the beach. Always look on the bright side of life! - I've learnt that here!

.

It's 3 pm here now and were enjoying a very dry 17 deg outside and, on the way back from Arillas I saw 3 barbies being fired up for family gatherings.
I know they were for Family as most of the family were hovering for the goodies!
(But of course the family get together takes first priority!)

Coconut is open for those Winter Weekend sports activities and of course a few drinkies. (Maggie and Gordon have already enjoyed, so I read!)
And... they have a dart board so life gets better n better. (Coconut - Not Maggie)

It's a very pleasant afternoon and many local hopes are that it will continue for a few more days to dry out the land for preparation for any veggie planting etc.

Tomorrow morning our new arrival "Homer" is off to the vets to have his Corfu nuts removed. Tom cats are renowned for licking these,I think, so they will be kept in a jar. Then, when ever he feels the urge to do this act we will duly place them on a saucer and let him carry on with it!

Cheers All

Sara

Thanks Negg. Arillas is looking good.
Imagine that - a barbie in November - what a wonderful life.

What will the locals be planting? When we were there just last month we saw baby beetroots growing & newly planted runner beans. Do these grow all year round?
If or when we ever get to live in Arillas, you'll have to give me lots of gardening tips Neill.

The gardening tips will have to come from Wendy. I'm only the "gopher" But we did pick some beetroot n radish the other day and the green beans are hanging in there together with the peppers n lettuce. (Leeks still good and carrots)
What's next - I don't know but Wegg being coiled spring will be ready for it.

Took a gander at your Villa today and looking good. It's weathered the storm very well.
Cheers
