Thanks for the latest update  Eggy.  Your posts have kept me sane throughout the winter months.   Great photos- keep them coming.

Hi

I think I've missed something somewhere. Can somebody tell me what and where is 'The New Build' on the seafront.

Thanks

June

Mango

Hi June
I think the new build is near the kaloudis village by the side of the marinaki appartments on the wasteland that was there.

Hi Mango

I thought that was where it is. I always stay at Kaloudis and wondered what it was going to be. At the moment it looks like a multi storey car park but I don't think so in Arilas!
I miss the Arilas Inn so it may be nice to be another restaurant but it's probably studios.

Mango's right about the build. It's between Marinaki and Eftihia taverna.
At the moment, I think it will be sea front appts. If they're anything like Marinaki then I'm sure they'll be a great place to stay.

Well... the was the spot Mike and I picked last year... someone pipped us to the post didnt they!

It is an ideal plot to build on and if they are appartments/studios then it is in a "prime location" at that quiet end of the beach and right next door to Efis too... I know where we would be all the time!
If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.

Lindypops

Hey Eggy, is there a new pavement down by The Marina?
Lindypops.

Sorry All

Like the Greeks, we've had a very busy Winter, fitting in jobs around the bad weather.

I was in Arillas yesterday and got the feeling life was starting to buzz again. It was a warm 21/22deg and locals were at various Tavernas etc doing what they need to do for the Summer season.

George at Malibu, I think, has been putting in many hours at his bar. Haven't seen anything of him this Winter.
Brouklis giving his oustside seating area a new face. A few cosmetic changes to Rainbow and Tria Adelphia.
( By the way have I said Tria have a dartboard planned for May? )
Akti Arilla looking good. ( It's been open for drinks some nights )
Too many places to mention but all looking good.
The beach is also returning back to normal.

Today we've got around 23 deg and dry. Much outside building work is now picking up and readymix wagons seem to be dotted all around this area. So far so good and how nice to relax on the patio for a change. ( Doors and windows open as I type - So quiet! )

Anyway camera duties back soon so watch this space , I guess.

Cheers

Thanks for the news Eggy.
Yes, Summer is just around the corner and can't wait to be back in Arillas.
Keep the info coming in, your reports are well worth waiting for.

A dart board at the Tria.
I hope Philip can throw an arrow.
I know he is able to referee a football game I have learnt him all I know and given him a shirt, so you know where your local ref is.

He can repay me by helping me to find my way around the Dart Board.

Thanks John n Dot. - Got a pic for you. - May bring back a reminder of your last visit.

I've put it on places to visit. Can't remember if it was completed when you were last here.

It's a grand day today folks and I just had to clic this pic of local builders, taking it easy, with a liquid lunch.
.

Don't be fooled though! - They've were up around 7 a.m. to take advantage of the good weather and all vanished back to work within an hour!

Just a pic of Arillas taken from our friends house in Arillas.

Arillas looking still looking good  and the buzz is still around.
Beach now winning the last 3/4 months battle with nature.

Finally another long distance view taken from some new builds going on around Afionas. - Tell you more about them some another time.

Cheers
