What an interesting video! I'll have to visit Avliotes in May. The 'green' bus was mentioned. Has anyone tried using this bus service? Looks like a good way of exploring if it runs regularly. I often walk to Ag Stef but a bus ride from there to the village is a new thing to do. Food looks good too!

On page 2/3 of this thread there was talk of a language school starting opposite the Tria. Does anyone have any more details or even better a contact?

I don't know for sure, but last summer Maria (Perry (Coconut)'s wife) was running a language school in a room at the Tria Adelfia and said she was looking for new premises - the building opposite being ideal so I'm guessing that's whats she's done.
As Maria is also Philip (Tria Adelfia)'s  sister , I'm sure if you need to contact her, Philip could give you her number.

Had a really good and rewarding time at Jean Walsh's first exhibition of her works in Arillas today.

Spiros and Monica, at the Akti Arilla ,as usual made everyone welcome and we had the time not only to veiw all Jeans works at our leisure but also chat with them about life in general.

As promised, a few pics from the exhibition.

.
And finally , a picture of the artiste with some of her unique work.

As said, in a previous posting, youl'll quite often find Jean, outside her house painting away. Her house being at the top of the hill past Villa Linnakis. If walking in that direction then take the time to say hello to her and have a good look at her portfolio.

Great post Neill!  I admired Jean's murals in the Heracles bar and was curious as to what her other work was like.  Judging by your photos Jean paints in a variety of styles...it's a pity that she doesn't have a permanent display on throughout the year.
Looking at  your photos I think my favourites are the abstract naked ladies and the guitar.

Great photos, Neill, thanks for posting them.

I agree with Eileen that it is a pity Jean doesn't have a permanent display on throughout the year.  She is certainly a versatile artist.

I really love some of your work Jean. Many of the tavernas in Arillas would put it on display for the long run and rightly so. Jen and my favourite is by far the two trees. We sat and talked about them for ages today.

You are yet another part of our Arillas. And thanks to Eggy for sharing it with us all.
