I come back on Sept 2nd Jo...but I booked on 2 January. As Eileen says, you have to book early with EJ to get the bargains. My finger will be on the buzzer as soon as they print next season's schedule!

Yep! I just booked to go to Finland with Easyjet next March and paid....drum roll...£65.93 for a return ticket including all the taxes and lovely things that are added on top.

I will keep an eagle eye on the next summers flights to Corfu and jump as soon as they come on sale :)

We have flown with EJ a number of times before and never had a problem with checking in or seats.  Mind you I dont mind not sitting next to Mike, he takes up so much room and is a right fidget trying to look out of the window someone else is welcome to him!!  :-)
(I dont mean it really but I wouldnt mind having a seat in between!)

As I think I shared with everyone a while ago, I loved our experience of flying with EasyJet & was pretty impressed with it.
I've been looking at flights to get us over again for late Sept & they're terribly reasonable.
Christian also takes up a lot of room & can be a bit of a wriggler when flying. It's just a good job I'm pretty small otherwise I'm sure I would get a bit 'narked' about it.
I don't think he would be happy if I wasn't sitting next to him though.
He has a fear of flying, which although is vastly improved is still a bit of an issue for him.

I was first alerted to this small fact the first time we ever flew to Corfu five years ago.
Although I was aware he hadn't flown before, I didn't make too much of it.
It all kicked off as we were speeding down the runway & the chap in the next seat to him (a big rugged looking guy) clasped himself tightly & then proceeded to pray loudly & anxiously.
Christian never quite got over it.....I can sort of see why....oh dear...flying is still a little stressful for us - despite the fact that I adore it.
Poor old Christian :-)

When do they start releasing next years summer schedule?

Eileen

Hi Jo,

It was a little different for the release of this years summer schedule as it was a new route for Easyjet, but usually the new schedules are released around November.

I agree with those of you that have nothing but good words and praise for easyjet. I flew with them in July and there were no problems, we took hand luggage so that was quick and easy as I check in on line and printed out my own boarding card at home. I was travelling with 3 kids so I was a bit worried about finding enough seats together but this was soon sorted, we just paid a bit extra for prority boarding well worth the extra. As some of you say easyjet does tend to be a bit delayed, we were by an hour but they made most of this up. Corfu airport was a breeze I didn't even show my passports just sailed through. I have to I dreaded the return trip but Corfu airport was a bit more organised this time and we sailed through there to, however when we reached gatwick we waited nearly an hour for our luggage not fun with 3 grizzly kids. Easyjet are great and you get what you pay for give them a go you only live once!!!

mmm, some EasyJet loves I see we have in here. EasyJet are good in the fact that they get you from A to B for a low price. But for me the flying is one of the greatest bits and the return flight to Gatwick we had no hot water so no tea or coffee, not able to flush the toilet. Ok, this was due to a person putting a nappy down the toilet but I just felt like a seat number instead if you go with XL or Monarch you are treated like a person and get you from A to B in style! But I guess people have there opinions about EasyJet.

We flew to Corfu with Easyjet in June and September this year - no problems at all. We even had the added company of Raine Spencer (Princess Di's step mum) on the flight going out (Wheel chair bound going out - but miracles do happen - seemed OK at the baggage reclaim!!!) and on the inbound flight was David Bellamy ! So book your flights early!!!

No one that famous on our flights either way but we did have good service and flights... no hiccups or delays... we werent bothered about food/drinks (we took water and ate beforehand (had rolls made up from George at the creperie before we left).

The hair raising thing I found was walking to the plane at Gatwick.. they have this new bridge with escalators going across some of the runway (you can see it as you go past the A23)  - it's so high up it makes me dizzy but I can be brave when I am on my way to Arillas and coming back I dont care!

Scanning Easy Jet all the time now for the new flight schedules.

Just thought I'd give you all a 'heads up' regarding our recent flights with Easyjet.
We left on Saturday 27th (it's the midday flight) & flew back on the 8th of Oct on the late night dpearture - about 12.40am or so?

I love the Saturday flight from Gatwick. It's at such a civilised time of day & we were in our appartment by 6.50pm & had the rest of the evening in front of us.
There were no major hassles departing, we left about an hour late as they needed to re-fuel, but having said that, it didn't really impact on the arrival time - we were slightly late - about 35-40 minutes, but it could have been far worse :-)

The return flights for two adults came in at £289.00 & with the return train tickets (£20.00 each) from Bristol, I have to say we got ourselves a bit of a bargain.

However, as positive as I always like to be on the Forum I have to say that the outbound from Corfu is a bit of a stinker!
Although the flight was prompt & there were no problems at all at the Airport - oh yes, there was one I forgot! Christian was given a bit of a frisking as he'd left a bottle of water in his rucksack - doh! But she was a very nice girl & they plan to keep in touch :-)

I digress.
The outbound flight was prompt & very busy but we splashed down in the UK about 1.20am I think?
The thing was we were stuffed till about 6.00am as that was when we could catch the first train out.
We decided to see if we could get a room at one of the on-site hotels as we were pretty tired at that point.
It wasn't to be I'm afraid as they wanted to charge us 200 quid for a few hours, so it was back to Arrivals & kipping on very hard benches until we could catch the train.

So that's the only downside of the flights & to be honest, that has nothing to do with Easyjet themselves.
I would say to anyone - try this way, but for people who have a sizeable onward journey like say, Sharon or TONYNEW, you'd need to get yourselves a hotel or something as there's nothing worse than feeling cold & tired & having to sit about in the early hours of the morning - not at all nice.

Summing up, once again Easyjet came up trumps for us allowing us the number of days we wanted at an excellent price.
We will continue to travel this way - just maybe take a sleeping bag with us next time :-)

BeckyB

PS: Oh yes, my case wasn't overweight this time & neither was Christian's (just). Ha! Ha! He'll never know all the little things I crammed into his :-)
I got away with it though :-)

I reckon Blondegirl should go into business Becky.....I had the same problem with no trains to Southampton till 6am. Also had to wait ages for luggage earlier in the summer at Gatwick.
