Was it the 1st April  picture that gave Easyjet the inspiration to focus on the Arillas area? :-)

I think the same information is probably published on the Easyjet Inflight website ...

Thank you for the link and the reminder of the 1st April picture :D

Used Easyjet for first time on April 21st. Excellent service and easy check in at Gatwick, better than other Airlines. Very useful for Easter before other airlines start.
And do not forget , they recommend BROUKLIS !! in inflight magazine.
Let us hope they  continue in Winter.

hi geoff

welcome to our forum. Easyjet have reviewed our place in detail but please don't tell anyone! Not surprising they told the world how wonderful it all is (rare truth in the press????)

They will all want to be here! Booking a table at Brouklis is difficult enouh already (Ask Jo Wissett!)

Give our hosts a full season by all means, but don't expect us to change. We'll knit more, but like shreddies, they will all be the same.

No problems, really enjoyed the flight, now looking for my flights for July 25th "ish"

Great .. Oiko!  Good reports so far about EJ.  They must be trying very hard to please their customers!  We go with them in September.

I flew with Easyjet last week. No hassle leaving Gatwick......don't be put off by the lists of flights behind the desks - just queue up at any of them. You can take unlimited hand luggage ("within reason" the notice says!) so long as none of it is bigger than the prescribed size. So if your suitcase is overweight (20kg) you can always carry some stuff on. We were about 30 minutes late setting off but nothing to complain about. The general feeling in Corfu seems to be that the Easyjet flight is always an hour late.

The flight itself was excellent. The planes are bigger than most package operators (sorry, don't remember exactly what it was) with plenty of leg room and those little head rests you can bend out at the back of the seat. Reasonable food to buy - coffee, sandwiches etc.

Arriving at Corfu at 10.30pm the airport in June was fairly empty with only one other flight arriving at that time so we got our luggage quite promptly.

Coming back, we left Corfu on time but when we landed at Gatwick we were not allowed off the plane for nearly half an hour as there were no buses to take us to the terminal. I consoled myslef with the thought that the luggage would be waiting for us by the time we got there....but no....there was clearly a problem with luggage that night. All the flights were waiting for theirs and we didn't get ours for another hour....however, that wasn't the fault of Easyjet. Finally left the airport at 2am.....lol....still managed to be in work at Southampton by 10am!

All in all, a good flight and I will certainly go with them again.

I've just booked a one way flight back to cardiff from corfu with Thompsonfly.com and it cost £320 including extra baggage fees for 3 of us, how does that compare to easyjet costs?
A woman has the last word in any argument, anything a man says after that is the start of a new argument!

I'm told Easyjet return for next Saturday is coming up at over £500 per person now....

Olympic holidays are offering 2 weeks in Corfu flying from Luton on the 18th July at £296. This includes accomodation but presumably you do not have to take the accomodation.

Dan

I went with Easyjet this June and I have to say I wasnt impressed. The organisation skills of Easyjet at Gatwick were terrible. It was embarassing having to line up as everyone was looking at us thinking look at the mob going with EasyJet. They have around 9 kiosks where you can line up in for any flight so it was chaos. But as this was our first time flying with Easyjet we did not realise that you pick your seats on the plane. Again this caused chaos but it was worth it in the end because we arrive in corfu :P

EasyJet is a good airline if you look at the prices and what you get but be aware that you do pay the price at the airport and once on the plane.

I would recommend paying the extra money and going with XL or monarch.

Hope this helps!

I disagree Dan. I've paid £100 for a return ticket next Sunday (August!!!)and would happily sit on the wing for that price....well worth the few little hiccups checking in and finding a seat. The worst thing I found was waiting two hours for my luggage at Gatwick North on my return...but that's down to the baggage handlers not EJ

Sorry Dan but I disagree too.

I've flown with Easyjet many times, including Gatwick-Corfu in May and have found them excellent value and no better or worst than any of the regular charters.  Perhaps  you were just  unlucky at the check-in as I found the procedure to be very straightforward despite the numerous desks.

The big bugbear I have with Easyjet is the non-allocation of seats.  I've yet to see a scramble for seats but it's the crafty passengers who try and 'bag' two seats that really get on my goat!  A couple will take a row and leave a seat in between them, if you ask them to move along they will say they are keeping if for a friend yet to board!  LOL...do they think I'm going to believe that!!!  Tough luck move along pal!

Providing booking is made early enough the price of flying with Easyjet is so cheap that your suggestion of "...paying that extra money" can amount to a substantial sum and extra expense.
