Goodness, the two tortoiseshell cats in the picture look like our Meg and Havana.Better go round the house and check all their favourite hiding places incase they have decided to run away and leave us.

I always think that jen when I see the tortoiseshell at Brouklis in the summer. She is the spitting image of my Fudge. Except Fudge is four times as fat...

Good Morning all from a very frosty Kavvadades/Arillas where the outside temperature had just made it to 7 deg at 8;45.

Picture 1 was taken from the upstairs balcony.

and this other was from, what will soon be, our new patio area.

But I think this morning it's a woolly hat and glove job and progress will be slow.

Bumped into Dimitris in Corfu Town yesterday and a very happy bunny he is too.
Litsa and new arrival are very well.
............. Gave him a big hug from Negg,Wegg and from all the Forum.....................

Now for me I have to get motivated and get outside.
Cheers

By 2 pm it was quite warm and the sun was shining. Temperature drops very quickly here though and now its back to 10 deg.

Might have a recce in the car tomorrow and leave sheds/patios alone for a morning.

** Anyone know the current exchange rate ?? **

Cheers

1.32 ?? - Bummer - Let me know when it gets to 1.40.
( Bread and water until then ! )

It's been a right ole English day here. Hasn't stopped raining since 9 ish. A mix of heavy downpours then drizzle. You know the score. Rain all day and the temperature hasn't made it past 12 deg.  Probably, weather wise, the worst day we've had since May.
The furthest I got today was the local Kafenio for post & ouzo. And only one of eash.

Question - What do you do in Corfu in December when the weather is bad ?
Answer   -  The same as we did in England.
( Shut doors, turn heating up, eat , drink and watch something good on the box.)

Maybe better Monday - Rain also on the cards for tomorrow.

Cheers All

Eggy, could be worse, it's been snowing and raining here all day.  Freezing cold and even the cat won't venture out.  Just been for a christmas tree and the bottom of our trousers are soaked there is so much water on the floor.  You are definitely better off indoors there anyway than in the cold depths of Derbyshire.  Hope you are both well.  W. x

Baldy Barry

Eggy ,why don't you learn to play a musical instrument through the winter ?
By early summer you might be good enough to serenade the punter's in the Coconut !
Picture it !
Drinking a nice cocktail as the sun goes down and Eggy plucking out Rodriguez Guitar Concerto in the corner !
Hope I don't burn !

riggers

Yes what a good idea Barry. Eggy could put a hat on the floor for everyone to throw money in. This could pay for his ouzo for the day........riggers....

Thanks for the vision, Eggy. Here in Somerset they took the smoking tent down to stop it blowing away inth 80mph winds we're promised for tonight. (And yes, us smoking pariahs live in tents these days in our pubs...) The rain is lashing down, and as you say, Jen and me are tucked up with the stama in the oven about to watch Strictly Come Dancing on the box. Arillas, where are you now?????

very best to you both

Phil .
You & Jen must have a very big oven.!!

If smokers are now relegated to tents does that mean the beer is cheaper as you're not making use of the surroundings?

A damp wet North Corfu here today with a couple of small showers. 11 deg outside and, if our oven was big enough I'd think about tucking myself in there.
We've had 35mm of rain in the last 24 hours and I think it is on the cards for tomorrow.
But, apart from the frustration of not being able to work outside, it's still pretty good.
Hopefully, on the rounds, in the morning so If's anythings happening I'll let you all know.
Cheers
