A long awaited "Arillas TodaY"

.... OK , I confess we did kick off with around a frosty 5 deg this morning but..........
....... sat in Beach Point , at Lunchtime , I could be forgiven thinking I imagined that!!!
Very warm , in the sun , and taking in the rays that were on offer. Not just me and Beach Point, a few at Sharon's probably also wondering what date it was.
14th December???? - WOTSTHATALLABOUT?

All here are being spoilt at the moment and an extra "spoil" is now on the cards with "Kostas on the Beach" now opening for the Winter.
(Another choice for evening food and lunchtime snacks) ----- And a dartboard!!

Arillas is looking good , folks,  and apart from us "lazy Ex-Pats" not a minute is being wasted with many olives being picked and many walls being painted and many gardens being dug.
But.... I have to say that some of us Lazy ones do have a good 'ole chore bashing in the mornings. The afternoons and evenings are ours!!

Cheers

Good on you Eggy.  Enjoy the rays while you can.  Pretty nice winter's day here with no rain for a change.  Didn't see much of it  though  as working - all day!  Well jell xx

Arillas today gave us 13 /14 deg as the goat flies but dry and warm if you could find a sunny nook or cranny.
Tonight gave me a few games of darts with the Armourada boys plus the added bonus of Chestnuts perched upon the somba for all to enjoy.
HOT CHESTY NUTTIES!! - Haven't had those for a while. - Careful , Terry if you are reading this!

Arillas looking good for December , guys,

I love Arillas out of season, but this year must have broken all the records. Swimming in the sea off Arillas beach in December.............. I WISH!!!! My latest date so far was November 2nd a couple of years ago. It was very warm and calm on that day.

The chase is on for the latest date to be wet in the sea from Arillas beach. Was it you? Sadly, I think I know the answer.

My earliest is the last week in June and the latest the first week in August. I'm planning towards a May to September visit one year and an October to March stay another year. Then I can have a dip on Christmas day!

Arillas Today - or St. Stephens Day - or Boxing Day ,,,, ends comfortably with a 13 deg outside temp which tells all what a super afternoon it was around the beach front. Costas on the Beach open as was Arillas Beach Point and more customers than would queue up for a Mothercare sale.

There has been much going on here for various charities leading up to Xmas day and all those who helped organise have well and truly earned their quality time with family and friends.

Night Owl , Afionas , had a fun night and raised over e1000 to buy an electric wheelchair with neck support and hoist for a little local Afionas lass.
The UK shop, Sidari ,  raised e600 plus for the cat and dog charities , thanks to a raffle'
Carol singing raised over e100  for the Karoudsades Orhans fund plus another e1000 with various fundraising.
Kavadaddes Post Office organised a raffle with every ticket winning a prize, courtesy of many local tavernas , breweries , businesses etc and raised over e2000 towards School repairs

Tis been a busy but well worthit time for all and Arillas truly sends it's blessing to you all. -
Y'all come back now

Cheers
