well val, can say i have thought about christmas shopping, but thats as far as i've got! have just collected my new glasses from specsavers, thats a big enough spend at the moment (although not as big as a boiler!!)
we are going to center parcs with our son and daughter in law and 3 grandsons in 3 weeks time, so looking forward to swimming outside in november in england.................NOT!!!!
anyway i am sure we will have a good time with the little ones, it will be "winter wonderland" while we are there, and the chance to see father christmas, which they are very excited about...........sorry rambling now, time to finish haha

You're not rambling Ger, you're just doing what most of us do when we're not in our lovely Arillas which  is simply getting on with our lives and enjoying it with our family and friends.
We're all looking forward to our celebrations, whether it be Halloween, Guy Fawkes, Birthdays, Weddings, Christenings or simply having a good ol' p.ss up with our nearest and dearest or perhaps work colleagues and let's not forget our great celebration of Christmas (haven't bought a single thing yet but I know it will all be alright on the night!) Can't wait...love it!
I'm also sure this is exactly what our dear lovely friends and hosts of Arillas will be doing while we are back here at home. They're probably relaxing and enjoying a well earned rest from making sure that we all had the most unforgettable holiday ever this year, as they always do until we all decend upon them once again from April onwards!
So a great big thank you to everyone in Arillas for always making sure that we had a memorable time with them. (which most of us always do...year after year after year after....!)
So until next year Ger...(who's rambling now?!) and all you Arillacs out there....enjoy your Autumn and Winter celebrations and remember... the Spring and Summer of Arillas is not really that far away!

Until next year....

p.s....Eggy, please keep us all updated as often as you can during our time away from our special place!
It's always much appreciated!

You guys and yer "ramblimg" - Remember that rambling is a large part of "Arillas Today"

Keep this alive , folks, I will tell yer mine if you will tell me yours!

15 deg outside at 11:30 pm, here, after a very nice Night Owl special souvlakia. A quiet "Oche" bank holiday. Bank Holidays , in the UK , always spring to mind endless queues on motorways and no one getting nowhere fast. Different here unless you get stuck behind a tortoise. Siga Siga.

Suzy61 - Updates I will do with my best ability. Arillas will hibernate for a while but, for your hosts, there are many duties. Olives to pick , catch up on work at home, pools to clean , sunbeds to store, and of course planning for next Summer.

Who said Xmas shopping!!?? Be Greek and sort it out avrio. Or......probably Xmas Eve!

Cheers

I love reading all the posts and I am disappointed when I log in and there are none but then I say to myself well, perhaps you should post then.

Eggy - as I said to you when we met briefly in the summer, I love hearing your updates, they are always so funny and keep us all up to date with Arillas news  when we are not there.

ger

i wish there was a like button on here sonia, i feel exactly the same!!! so disapointed when there are no new comments!
well, i have a day off tomorrow, so its off to have my hair cut, then off to do a big grocery shop cause we seem to have no food in the house! i know how to live!!!!

I agree its always great to see an 'Eggy Post' but its good to see what other have to say too.  Sadly its now 5 weeks since Julia and I got back from Arillas and have not yet made up our minds about 2016.
The autumn in England can be wonderful, but sadly today has been wet and windy in Lincolnshire.  Never mind, am looking forward to an evening out in the depths of this wild and woolly county at Grayingham where a pasta evening at a lovely home is on our schedule.
Best wishes to all Forum members

Persactly  right , PJ. I enjoy not only what others have to say but also the pics.
And.... wotta super new photo of you. You're not applying for the PM's job are you. - Gets my vote!

A little recce, around Arillas today, sees Grazella finally closed as are most others on the front, except beach point for a beer or two. Brouklis looks open, well they still have a menu outside, and Armourada never seems to close. Probably a Brouklis trip for us tonight, celebrating the arrival home of Wegg. We should expect a super relaxed evening, so I will not feel bad showing her a cupboard full of ironing avrio.
Although a dry 18deg, at the mo, me-thinks it will be an inside dine tonight, with possibly a long sleeve shirt, plus all other accessories of course.

Cheers

Hope you both enjoy your evening, it must be lovely to have Wegg home....as for the ironing I hate it too...... but you have obviously done the washing so next time we see you do you think you could give Bill another tutorial, not for the strimmer this time .....but knowing how a man can learn to use a washing machine would be a great asset to him. (And me).

Although after half an hour strimming he then got a man in and then paid to have the garden complete re-done. Mmm I really would like a separate laundry room. 😃

Val - Wegg left me a map, showing how to get from the kitchen to locate the washing machine, so I had no excuses.

Last night was the end of the Season, for Brouklis, and busy it was too. A very nice steak n Bifteki went down a treat with red wine, and we ate outside!!

A very nice 1st November too, not only "Arillas Today" but, all around with a warm in the sun 19 deg at midday. Much garden digging has been done by moi and Wegg has been picking peppers. I'm told yer  "Gotta Picka Pepper or two." - (I am sure that was a song from "Oliver")

Cheers and a pinch and a punch etc etc.

Neil...What have you done?
I'm all booked up to see the musical production of Oliver with family in December and when that particular song and dance routine comes on I will have an image of you pulling peppers from your garden...or even out of pockets!

Well Suzy61 , looks like that, before you go, you will have to be "Reviewing the situation.........."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am an early bird here , at 8pm, this morning as a long morning purge is planned for the garden. With an Arillas today, at around 11 deg start up, I think I just may have a cup of tea , or two. before venturing outside.
(Suzy61 knows this song as well - "Gotta have a cuppa or two....." )

Cheers
