Arillas today is our last day (avrio tomorrow). Once again this sleepy little village has provided so much.
Thanks to all who have made our stay so enjoyable (including Neill who kindly kept away with his bug)'
Two fantastic weeks lazing, glorious weather with the odd walk to San Stefanos and Afionas.

NEXT STOP ARILLAS, WE WILL BE BACK IN JULY.

WISH YOU WERE HERE

Eggy

Good to see you , John n Dot, on your last day and I am sure no bugs were sent your way.

A super end to your time here with 29 deg. Rain is on the cards for avrio , unless you take it back to the UK?

Bizarre that I got in wrong on Mr Wright but am pleased that you got it right which makes right, the wrong I got. Viv got it right with Mr Wright but got it wrong, maybe,  with the wrong way she said "Mr Wright" making people thinking that Mr Wright was in the wrong.
Anyway ...... It's all "wright" now. (Others will understand this only with excess Ouzo)

Have a good trip back guys.

Cheers
Negg

Mr and Mrs Wright, as this is your last night we hope everything is all right. Have a good flight, and we might see you....well all right, we will see you in July and might be able to arrange a night to have a chat with you both Mr and Mrs Wright.

See you soon Val and Bill xxx
The love affair continues.

You're so "wright" Mr Eggy. I have adored watching Dot enjoying her illicit pleasures that only Arillas delivers... a cheeky Mythos, a sideways glance at anybody who dares to disagree, the smile that only she can have. It is very sad that they are leaving now, but oh boy, in a few weeks time we will all be back doing the holiday essentials. Table 13 is booked, and we have two very special guests this year.

These are not just holidays.... they are ARILLAS holidays!

Poor Wendy,Shehad a cold when we saw her and now she's got an Eggy with a bug in it.
Mr Wright is a bit like me in the way that he knows that it dos ant matter what people say He is Wright and doing his own thing and that's what matters. I was Miss Allwright for 18yrs, loads of stick at school and when I first joined up, expect John had the same. Be great seeing you and Dot again hope it won't be so long in between next time. Have a good flight back to UK ,talk soon. Love Viv & Pete.xx

Stay Nude it ante rude

Eggy

Not only poor Wegg but poor Viv. One getting stick at school and one getting stick at home (Thanks to grumpy here)

Ne'er mind , it's been a "Miss Alwight" day today with 25 deg and hovering.  I am feeling better after a meal out last night and back in the land of the living.

Look out Arillas , tomorrow here I come.

Not today, then , Karl? - As I found out when I popped in Tria to see you.

Arillas give us morning rain , just a tad , and starts to wind up dropping down from 27 deg , slowly , at 6pm. - Doh bless!!

Paula (PMC) if you read this there is a PM waiting for you.

John n Dot , If you read this then you are still trapped indoors with that UK weather.

Phil n Jen , if you don't read this then .... are you not well? - You are on this 'ole forum every day.

And...... Arillas sea front?? - Well. all I can say is that I found the mermaid and missed the doughnut man, so good comes of everything.
The sea is soooo clear though that it makes up for the loss of sand and addition of pebbles.
(Reminded me a bit of Sidmouth although, when paddling, you can see your feet here)

Cheers

We are very well Eggy, and only 7 weeks from our long awaited second visit to Arillas. Some arrangements in place - Table 13 booked for 16th July with a cast list of..... well, 6 so far!! Many more arrangements will follow in July, such is the way of things. Hopefully a few chatty afternoons with you included.

From the black clouds come silver linings. The clutch in our "car" finally burned out yesterday and today I arranged its funeral and replacement. In fact, someone drove into the side of me yesterday to "ram home" the point that the car is dead. But I am now the proud owner of another frail and ancient set of wheels. The pension people have also given good news that our plans are legal and going to happen. This will transform our plans in relation to Arillas. All in all a very good day that started under a huge black cloud.

I am sad that the May-Birds who come to Arillas early in the season have had so little beach and so many pebbles. I have seen it worse, but that doesn't help them. It will be a miracle if it is as good as last summer, but I have a feeling it will be transformed soon. Let's all wait and see.

Hi Eggy

I got your message and have PM'd you.

There is a little sand Karl, don't worry. You'll find a patch to lay your towel - just don't sit on a pebble, they're pretty big lol. There's been lots more people on the beach the past couple of days :-)

Arillas today for me (& my mum): a reasonable morning, we were up early for our Corfu Town pick up. Was warm but wet, had clearly been raining in the early hours. Went to Corfu Town shopping for the day. Back at Mirage for 4pm. Had a proper swim in the sea.  The sea was lovely, although it did take a '1, 2, 3 dunk' for me to take the plunge haha. Was nippy at first but was lovely after that.. once you ge past the seaweed lol
Had an hour in/by the Mirage pool then up to the apartment to get ready for the evening. Went to Amourada -  It rained for about 30 minutes this evening but is almost dry now. Now at Coconut drinking Cocktails and listening to the splinter band. Good but loud! Haha. Back to Mirage later for another drink or two :-)

Thanks for posting Rachel. You described a totally enjoyable Arillas day in spite of the negatives. I have sat on pebbles, believe me... it was er, painful....  but I think the early birds have caught all the worms, and come July the beach will have different reports, and May will be forgotten. I hope so.

Enjoy your remaining time there. Of most of those I read you have clearly taken it to your heart and of course, that works for me. Looking forward to your use of modern technology to share your glorious holiday. The underwater pics will be special.

I always love reading your updates Rachel and shall look forward to the next one.
Sounds like you and your mum are having a fabulous time despite the negatives (are there really any negatives in Arillas?...silly question!)
Enjoy the rest of your special time together in Arillas
