Missed your 'Arillas Today' posts the last few weeks Neill....it's just so nice to get the news as it happens.

Now that things are starting to move towards the new season of holidays it gets exciting.
Looking forwards to your posts Phil and Jen just so we can live every minute with you both.

The love affair continues.

love to hear all about everyone getting ready for summer again, seems to bring the holidays nearer, hope to see you again in Sept, staying at the Mathraki, as usual, for 11 days.

Will you be trying out the new hair salon! think I will give it a miss! great place to drop the boss off at though, whilst I escape
for a while!

Eggy

Dylan - New hair salon???

If I go there it will only be for a polish.

Bald git and old Punto go together , DONCHYERKNOW ? - Just ask Phil n Ref and .......... need I go on?
Chalky Finger John?? - I went to school with him!

We finish Arillas Today on 11 deg which , funny enough, was how we started. - except it is a much more laid back 11 deg and dry
(Retsina helps a twinge)

A dry Arillas tomorrow will, me-thinks. see more local action than all the "Die hard" films put together.

Cheers

Hi Eggy,
I noticed you wrote yesterday that they are building new apartments next to Mirage. We are staying there in September, so wondered if the new ones will be in our way?
Tabhunt

Eggy

Not in the way at all. - Alongside Mirage and using part of the "parking area"

If they are appts they will be very nice for guests. Appts or house it will fit In very nicely and, in my opinion, will not disturb anyone.

Oh right. Hope its not all of the car park as we have a car for the week and need to park there lol. Do you know if its Mirage extending or is it new owners?

Overnight rain, sounding much worse than the 7mm recorded, gives us a drizzly but bright Arillas Today.

Temps hover around 15 deg at midday but warm with it.

Forecast says due to be drier and warmer , from this weekend, so looking good for Phil n Jen next week.
I reckon that new 'ole tablet, of Jen's,  will be working overtime , from Sunday.!!

Cheers All

Sorry Tabhunt.....
..... to answer your question about the new build alongside Mirage.
It is starting to look a very nice place indeed and is set back from the road still giving ample parking. In my opinion it begins to appear like it has always been there and not an intrusion to anyone. Not sure though if it is some ones dwelling or extra appts.

Thanks for that Negg. As we haven't been there yet its difficult to gauge what kind of space there is having only ever seeing Mirage on pictures or Google earth. But as you say, its probably keeping in tradition with the rest of the Arillas buildings that I've seen. Another reason why we chose such a lovely village, no high rise ugly hotels.

A wet Arillas afternoon but did not stop Armourada, with at least 7 bodies, working as "one coiled spring" busy with cement preparing the outside eating area for their new tiles. --- Vasillis with a wheelbarrow??? WOTSTHATALLABOUT??
And.... Costa, in sou'wester and oilskin, at Marvel, jet washing his outside pool area???.
Surely not all this preparation for Phil n Jen, me-thinks? - Maybe I should clean the Punto?
Not sure what else was happening, in Arillas, as watching these guys tired me out and had to retire home for a rest.

So, 15 deg and wet but a much better weekend is on the cards.

And.... keep an eye on that exchange rate, people.

Cheers

Don't wash the Punto! might shrink! or collapse!

suzy61

I hope Armourada have kept those beautiful pink and purple flowers that drape over the outside wall. If so I also hope they'll still be in full bloom in August?
