Kassiopi Today for us, three quads and off we set for a day on the bikes. A steady ride down to Kassiopi and lunch on the harbour side, was hot down there and the welcomed breeze as we headed back was just what we needed.

Called in at Peroulades on the way home, fabulous views.
Down to the beach for sunset and lots of people watching the wedding taking place on the beach.

Dinner at Gratzella now back at base what a fabulous day we have had......WISH YOU WERE HERE

Today Arillas is melting. I don't care what the numbers say, it is too HOT for anything but chilling. I am not alone in this opinion - even Litsa (Brouklis) was saying it. At last we have caught up with them all and shared a few minutes of "goodbyes." Ha Ha, the words are "see you soon."

The place is quieter than previous end-of-July times, which is great for the tourists, but not so great for our hosts.

Having said that, the wedding party at Marina was a resounding success and many reports have confirmed it. PnJ however, did our usual low key evening, and went round the corner to Vinceremo, where the Sofrito was rivalling Kiki's at Armourada. Jen was on her top form and many reminiscences were shared.

Arillas Today sees the winding down of our magical three weeks with Bingo at Bardis tonight, and Quiz at Bardis tomorrow night. There are many stories about both, but will expand if and when I do a holiday report. The days may be subject of other posts on here.....

An Arillas evening where plans can once again change, but we all go with the flow and enjoy the extra time we are offered.

No Bingo at Rainbow , tonight, either because it got around I was the caller or because people were eating and not ready and many were chatting, mainly with me, and nothing could or should not be put in sync at that moment in time.

Phil n Jen know all about what was planned and what happens. (2pm Bardis or along the front avrio)

Anyway.... fun was had and many "old" faces appeared and Eggy is a pleased man. I do wonder though where that ice cube, that hit me on the back of the head, came from???
(Helluva throw!)

I enjoyed and holidays are not for planning. Nice evening and I am sure the same can be said for all those
other delights on offer, around Arillas, which attract all you guys.

Cheers

A tale of two Bingos.......

PnJ had to decide between two invitations and had to honour the first one we said yes to, as we always do. As it turns out, the Rainbow Bingo didn't happen and the Bardis Bingo did. I was sweating on 60 for the house...... but didn't win.

Don't get this wrong though. Neither Bardis nor Rainbow are Benidorm-style Bingo places. They simply support their guests in making holidays and entertainment. We all do it our own way.

Everybody including Poppy at Bardis Sun Studios has asked us what is going on - we have not been hell-raising and ripping up the Nut every night. Well to be honest folks, we have been soaking up our Arillas, and boy have we been happy with it. Plus we are not as young as we were.....

Arillas Today is still available to hell-raisers, but PnJ give way to the next generation....

Phil

PS Neill, Bardis at 2pm would be perfect.

Safe journey John and Dot. Thanks for popping over to our shop. Saw you this morning in Arillas, but decided not to beep to say Hi, in case I made you jump, and risked running you over in my van!! See you next time.

Phil and Jen's Arillas Odyssey draws to a close on our last full day and night. Ha ha, the word last has no meaning to my Jen and me when Arillas occurs in the same sentence.

We spent it with wonderful people, and very many of them. But only a few of all those other wonderful people who have made it as special as ever, during our VERY SHORT 3 weeks. We thank them all.

Today it is a tad cooler and sometimes a little breeze to help you through the day. The sea is quite busy, but not hard work. It says 30 on our thermometer, like it did yesterday. But it is no way the same heat. A fantastic beach experience awaits anybody who wants it.

Another good exchange rate of 1.24 actually achieved with travellers cheques today. The Mythos tastes so much better when you think it cost you a bit less.............

So many friends, so much fantastic food, so friggin little TIME! I belong here, but tomorrow I have been expelled.

Arillas Today has put it's famous smash hit mini series on hold due to the imminent departure of it's co-stars, Phil n Jen and John n Dot, tomorrow.

The series entitled "" Mines always a Stiffado - And I'm over 45"" has attracted many followers who now will have to wait for the next instalment. The fab four will be back and rumour has it that Phil may just be autographing empty Mythos bottles in September. Meanwhile John n Dot will soon return where John could be seen , on the North Beach, giving red cards to anyone dressed in top hat n tails carrying a zoom camera. (Good pictures though and I am still waiting for Sandy to make me an offer on the negatives)

Normal service will be resumed shortly, if not quicker, but. JO, I am sure will make a superb intermission.

Have a good trip back guys. Tis been fun.

Arillas today started off very ominous..so much so that I tentatively offered to accompany Mick on the Arillas trail. Unfortunately (!) The sun has now come put so I thought that it might be better if I instead beach myself on my Marinaki sunbed haha. Sad to see phil, Jen, John and dot leaving us but as John said last night he has to go home so that he can come back! He certainly looked like a man who was smug about his anticipated return. Surely 3 times this year would just be greedy eh??

So what for the last couple of days? The North beach has been fabulous no wading whatsoever yesterday. Miserley Mick says he may even treat me to a sunbed tomorrow woohoo! After an hour lying on a beach mat we look like two hunchbacks hobbling back to the pool! Bumped into a lady called Val yesteday just as we were making our way back (eyes UP eyes UP) and mick just rolled his eyes when she said are you Jo Wissett? Lol. We enjoyed Brouklis again last night. I was pathetically predictable with my choice of food. Yep chops :) Unfortunately my mum and dad (who have been staying at the Akti) are also off home today so will be wandering up in a bit to say our farewells. The time is depressingly rushing by now and its hard to believe that we have already been here a week. Last night also saw Kylie Minogue and Lady Gaga in the Coconut! We also have 'Neil Diamond' back in town so fingers crossed he does a gig in the Coconut before we return. We have a jeep booked for Wed so that should be fun. Max and Harry however are disgusted and thoroughly dreading leaving the pool for a few hours. Wondering about perhaps dropping them off at Hydropolis water park so we can do the boring parent thing? Has anyone been and am I right in thinking the price of ticket includes food and drink? Ok I will sign off for now and reading this back it is hardly ground breaking stuff for you but still a fantastic couple of Arillas Today's for the Wissett family xx

Hi Jo

Glad you are having a fab time but sad we won't see you this year (we fly out a week today).

I went to the water park about 4 years ago and it was all inclusive on certain days so you would need to check.  Bear in mind that it is fairly small although kids tend to enjoy themselves regardless.

Enjoy xx
