Sorry, no pics. We haven't even unpacked the camera. In three days here at home in our Arillas we haven't been past Armourada yet. Only had one hug with Yiota, but so much more will reach us in our very short stay of 3 weeks.

Arillas Today is warm, friendly and beguiling. I have arrived and my get-up-and-go has got up and went. I can't post a beach report because I just sat at Bardis, supped too many Mythos and shared life and gossip with Bobby, forum member Cypress and Poppy. OMG is Arillas our home. For all of yous holidaymakers it is better than ever, just come here. It is so friggin brilliant today. And whatever you think of me, I only ever tell the truth.

I will "Phil" guilty tonight getting you guys to Armourada as Rainbow have live music. A young Greek lad , and very good, so I am told. That doesn't happen till 9:30 ish though. Worth a look.

I hope to start the darts early so we can all be there.

However , with 30 deg at 5pm , The earlier we start the hotter it is. (If that makes sense?)

Cheers

We have no power, Jen and Phil are completely over rated. We are simply folks (fools?) who understand Arillas and also know how to compare it with Magoulades and all that our beloved place gives us. Yes Corfu, Yes Magoulades but YESSSS Arillas. We know all of the surroundings, but we just adore Arillas. Nobody, no-one will ever take that away from us.

Phil

PS will see you one way or 'tother maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow....

Arillas Today recovers from 20mm of evening and overnight rain, with a respectable 23deg lunchtime temp and the sun doing it's best to appear.

Good to see Phil n Jen and Jinksy n Ang and Steve and Mary at Armourada, last night and , once again met Steve and Carol. Poor Steve n Carol - Always recognise the faces and forget the names. I will take Carol's advice and try my best to do any garden strimming , digging and pool washing using my left hand. It just might give my poor 'ole darting hand a bit of a rest.
(Garden strimming , this morning has left my right hand fingers looking like fleshy walnuts!)

Anyway... no more rain currently forecast no, maybe, normal service has been resumed.

Arillas Today has recovered from a spectacular storm that saw more water fall on us than the Mythos I had. Yes, that is true!

In any event we were sat on our balcony supping voddie frapees when it hit. I adore this woman called Arillas, who sometimes explodes and slaps me in the face, only to wake me with a loving hug. Arillas Today is breezy. The waves are really powerful, but it is amazingly calm along the sea front. The beach is very narrow today. But there are so many happy faces of every description just soaking in the atmosphere. Felt really sorry for a young, very pale woman, whose arms looked like a battlefield. So many mozzie bites all red and itchy. But did she care? Nothing was going to spoil her time here.

We set out with good intentions. No beer, just hellos until we got to Brouklis, and then Marvel and Rainbow. Did it happen? Well, yous know already. We got as far as Graziella, and spent a MAGNIFICENT three hours there. My favourite taramasalata, three Mythos and many smiles. Not sure which of those ingredients taste the best - probably the smiles. Needless to say, Brouklis, Marvel and Rainbow might as well have been on the moon. Sorry guys, yes we've been here nearly a week, but not even said hello yet. But know y'all understand what PhilnJen's July in Arillas is like.

Like Arillas Today. Laid back, warm, friendly and to be honest, the rest can be avrio. Will try harder tomorrow, but already doomed to failure.

T'other Phil n Jen - don't despair - we never got around everyone in 3 months of being there - will try harder next year!
We were in Arillas for 2 whole months and going again for 2 weeks :-)

Phil

There I was , sat in Rainbow, with nothing in my glass except a dead wasp, who had died of thirst, and what looked like a small portion of cucumber, possibly one of those green flying things, and you never appeared!!

Thanks to you and Jen I had to lose 2 games of darts against Dimi and 2 against Riggers! - Bugger!!

But ... who gives a "skata" - enjoy your time and never make appointments for diddly.

A respectable 26 deg now at 5pm. - Rain?? - Wot rain??

Have a good evening is wished to all

Sorry darlings. I didn't invent Arillas. Somebody else did that. It has seduced me like no woman ever could. We have had the most perfect day, both Jen and I are completely full not only of food, but love, joy and happiness. And we are going to see Thomas tonight, and eat the best fish in Arillas. In Corfu?

Somebody rescue me please and take me back to reality. I think I might explode tonight. It is only Friday, and I am in love.

Phil

Dai

Ha Ha Phil, I think you have been in love for a long time, and you are happiest when you are with the two loves of your life, Jen and Arillas. Carry on enjoying them both!

justphil

The trouble is Dai, one of my two lovers always thinks differently. But tonight was an early one. One of them won, I won't say which.

Arillas Today is warm but not drastically. The nights are merciful, even without aircon, I would guess 28 degrees at 2pm.

I got 1.25 when buying my ciggies, so the cost of everything feels good.

Vavillas wowed us yet again. The sea bream to die for and local krasi.... a heady mix which saw me with my first (and ONLY) hangover. And as usual, a silly low price and large tip.

Today we planned to arrive at HQ (Brouklis) for lunchtime enjoyment, but as 2pm passes it looks like another lazy day at base. The pace of life is so hectic here.... with any luck you can meet yourself coming back - from yesterday!

Best wishes to all from my spiritual home.
Phil
