Don't be so hard on yourself Phil - that was avery subtle one, but the fact that "KASINO" was in much bigger letters than all the rest to make sure we spotted it was a bit of a give away - Well, EVENTUALLY !! It did take me a while.!
It could be worse mate - the ITV Daybreak news item about chickens laying square eggs had my wife totally fooled until I pointed out that the name of this "new" breed of chicken was actually an anagram of "April Fool"
Great ruse Boss!
Home is where the heart is - CORFU :-)

Eggy

Well peeps, Arillas Today is no April Fool and we are still enjoying an outside "Luvit" temp of 22deg at 15 mins before 6pm. There is much going on for April visitors.

Broulkis says he will also be open next week. Marvel is good, and Christos (ex Helen's Creperie) will do some evening weekday grub, if you give him a days notice. Armourada goes without saying and Night Owl, if given a days notice, will serve you during the week.

So, there you are, the "signs" are looking good and no naughty bits have been removed.
(Keep an eye on Brouklis spit lamb though - you never know!!)

Cheers

A red letter day. The strimmers are maddening, the drunk tourists have arrived and nobody gets any real work done when the sun comes out. Arillas Today sees many folk slogging their hearts out to make a decent season out of 2014.

Today it is summer. The sky is uninterrupted blue and I am posting this after wallowing in hot rays, turning my brown eyes blue (sorry Crystal Gayle.) Bare chested for the first time since last July. It must be mid twenties in terms of temperature.

Arillas Today has been a people day for Jen and Phil. Bear hugs with Kostas (Marvel) Dimitris (Brouklis) Dimitris (Rainbow) and nearly bear hugs with Takis, Vasillis, Alex, Lezek... I have only walked from Marvel to Armourada. And as for the Brits, Eggy, Phil, Anne, Frank and Sue. More to come tonight. The first three hours in Arillas can be so amazing....

Story for Today - our holdall main bag, with all of our clothes in, was padlocked with a working brass padlock when we left UK. When it arrived the lock and bag mountings had been attacked, leaving us with a conundrum. Do we tear the bag up or try to open it. Our Eggy enlisted Jimmy from Rainbow to provide some bolt-cutters. All of our problems solved by our dear friends.

There is Arillas Today, and every day.

And we're off!! Been so excited for your first Arillas post Phil. Sorry to hear about your bag. Sounds a bit weird that? Have you reported it? Anyhow now to get on with the easy business of bliss! Keep those reports coming! X

OMG has Arillas delivered. But then it always does. Just now the sun is strong, there is not even a wispy cloud in the sky and the temperature is in the twenties. It is half past four here. The expert ie Eggy will give you the measurement if you need it.

Arillas Today has seen us do nefarious deals with Ina and George, and share lots of history with Lezek's new partner. But so much more. I have taken many pictures and hope that some will beguile you when I post them. The bladdy strimmer has finished, and now realise that I prefer the boy-racers on motorbikes to the ones who have my best intentions at heart by making the place beautiful but drive me up the wall.

Arillas has had so much loving attention all along the seafront. Forget the neon sign outside Ammos, there are many new streetlights. A quick kiss and s**g on the beach will now require a sandy walk before you are an exhibitionist. Just saying....

Arillas Today is even more perfect than I keep on about. The weather has embraced Phil and Jen and given them a huge sloppy kiss. (The ones between us are private I'm afraid. )

If you like living you will love Arillas Today.

Brilliant. I'm (we all are, I think) hanging on to your every word, can't you both live there permanently?!

In Somersetism does 's**g' mean 'snog'?? :-)

justphil

To continue Arillas Today, s**g was meant to be *ha* but snog sounds so much better. Arillas itself was so calm and peaceful today, and barely a wave. Many locals and incomers like me assembled in Beach Point and drank their beer on the cheap. Mythos for 2.40? It was a fantastic way to while away an afternoon.

We had been invited by Billy to eat at Armourada at 8 o'clock. The food was gorgeous as usual. We both had chicken sofrito that kiki had dreamed up on the fly. It was f*ing gorgeous. But such is her cooking. We spent the rest of our evening with the famous John Payne, by an outdoor table so Jen and me could smoke in peace.

Arillas is still here meluvvers. It is more beautiful then ever, but still here.
