Negg, I'm sorry. Tuesday promises grey cloud and 11 degrees. Hire cars will be subject to EU rules, and you have to take a breathalyser before they give you the keys......

Don't forget you are coming back to a place where pensioners are made to go out in the rain to have a cigarette. Ouzo costs at least £15 a bottle, and Mythos almost does not exist. (Thank God for Morrisons.) We all know you live in Nirvana. But not many know how much hard work and struggles that involves.

The weather will be awful, the trees are only just getting a bit of green on them,
town centres now have 20mph speed limits, most pubs don't even know what ouzo is, so you had better buy a bag of aniseed balls when you arrive and just order water then suck them.

Also Neill, don't forget if you smile at anyone in the street make sure you know them, or they will think your trying to pick them up. If a man smiles back run....it's up to you which direction ;)  and the car hire firm will expect the car back in one piece.

We would like to say enjoy.....but that won't happen until you land back in Corfu.

See you soon, love to Wegg,    Val and Bill xx
The love affair continues.

Arillas Today is a real struggle for me. Sandy is there, Eggy is there. I'm not. Armourada is cooking tonight..............

I have a very heavy heart tonight. In truth, I'm struggling and hurting. Yes, I'm posting because I need to share it. Life's a bitch. But then you find Arillas and it's even more of a bitch, because you're not there.

Arillas Today is watching me pack a suitcase and generating 28deg outside, at 7pm, to try and keep me here.

But.... I have paid for the ticket and have to bite that bullet and have to look forward to a few degrees less in the UK for a week. BUGGER!

Sandy will keep you, and me, updated here. S'all looking good folks.

Cheers

All looking very good. Loads of activity round the village and evryone is hard at work sweeping, cleaning, washing, painting, planting. The weather is wonderful and there is a vibrant atmosphere everywhere as Arillas comes to life again after a very wet winter, preparing for the new season.
Went to Anemos last night and Night Owl tonight.....and will definitely be at the opening night at the Rainbow on Wednesday. I also Yiota very briefly as I drove past her shop yesterday....
And there are fireflies everywhere......
Will try to get to north beach tomorrow.

Sorry I can't do pictures as my camera card doesn't fit into this tablet.

SO! Having cleaned all my shutters, I ventured down to north beach this afternoon. Access involved a lot of wading...about 100 yards....but the sea was calm so it wasn't a problem. The reward at the end of this was an excellent expanse of sany beach, only one other person, and easy access to swim. The water is already warm. In all, a better option at present if you're detrmined to get your kit off. However, it is still early days and all can change. It's amazing how the coast line can change so much in terms of rocks, sand, stones, cliff fall etc.

Rainbow opens tomorrow and there will be darts there in the evening.
Jo...plenty of activity at Marinaki but no sign of your swing as yet..
