Hi Heather. Really enjoyed reading your report. I love Arillas including the warts, and certainly don't mind reading about them. There just isn't anywhere else that has ever done this for me, and I've been round the block....

It is Marvelous who offer transfers inclusive in their minibus. It is situated right next door to Rainbow, and a firm favourite of many of my friends. We will be staying there in a few weeks time.

Most owners will arrange taxi transfers for guests. Usually about 50 euros each way.

Yammas!
Phil

Enjoyed the time spent with you both , Blue Heather. Hope that 'lil ' ole scooter did you proud!

Arillas is on a slight wind down today - Or is it me? -
- Should have checked the Sea Front and counted bodies.
(Although an Eggy pointing at various people and chanting numbers could have meant a court case)

Anyway.....
.....It's a sad time for those who are not here but a good time for those who are. October the 4th and enjoying a mild breeze with temps of 25deg.
People on sunbeds around pools - WOTSALLTHATABOUT?

Tria Adelphia is set to close on Monday and Rainbow plus others will shortly follow. But, whether 4 or forty staying at all your favourite places, the excellant service remains the same!

It will be a rush for me and Wegg now to fit in all those Tavernas that we must visit before the "Final Countdown" - Tonight is the Owl.
So many places and so little time. - BUMMER!!

Armourada has promised, yet again, stay open for the "Phil n Jen" arrival, providing Phil doesn't start tap dancing on his table. Marvel will do their part in making an end of October visit good for all who are here.
"Captain Brouklis" as always goes down with his ship, end of October, to miraculously appear for April/May next year. Thallassa stay open until beer pumps fail and all bottles are empty and the only fresh food left is for the local pussies and freezers are bare!
Vavillas target a mid October close. Depending on guests.
(I guess we will have to buy Thomas's fresh fish after that then!)

Also ,we are all hoping here that what was "Helens Crep" will continue to thrive during these "Winter Months"
-They do a "mean" Giros- DONCHYERKNOW?
So, with the temp, having now risen to 26.7 deg, at 5:44 pm, I bid you "Ta Ta" as my Ouzo is getting warm. Priorities an all dat!
Cheers
Negg

Linsey

We arrive on the 12th so it is great to know many of our favourites will still be open. Hoping the good weather will continue.
Thanks for the information, I cannot wait.

Negg, what do you do with yourselves in the winter months - hibernate?   I so enjoy reading your "Arillas Today" and you keeping us updated with all that is going on.

So glad you both liked Arillas, we thought that you would, sounds like you will be busy next year, we had our 40th wedding anniversary in August, had a week in Whitby, first british holiday in years! hope you are both well. xx

BlueHeather

By the way what where is OWL??
Women are like angels....   And when someone breaks our wings,
we simply continue to fly......usually on a broomstick.
We're flexible like that   ;-)

All guests in Arillas Today must be special guests indeed as Arillas continues to spoil you with temps around 26deg and just a mild breeze.

.
And.... the bench still continues to find an occassional bum, or two!

And... what is Arillas Today without the "Boss" getting in on the act??

Shouda zoomed in on the hat!!! - Bugger!

Here's Julie and Mike, outside Thalassa. They go home Monday, but this does not dampen their spirits.
(Or is it the "spirits" that help to non-dampen their enthusiasm?)

And..... What about the new look Martin W???

Is it the hair or the beard? Or is it the Arillas "Fountain of Youth"?
(Answers on a 100e note please!)

Finally... Kostas on the Beach may have said a fond farewell to "Strubee" but now they have daughter of "Strubee"
A big welcome to Poppy from all of us who knew Kosta & his canine companion

A super day had by all and, I think, many will have a super evening.
Cheers

Aw Neil wish I could fly back!  Martin looks great, was brilliant to meet him, lots of laughs, lol, does a great northern accent, hahaha.

Heather the Night Owl is a must, I had chicken slouvaki and it was delicious, if you do give Portofino another go and if you like steak please try the fillet, thats why we had to go 5 nights on a run! :)

Thanks for the update Neil.
Just wish we were there, at the moment Arillas is so far away, what with having to put next summer on hold due to being made Redundant this week.
All the stops are out and the hunt for a new job is well under way.
Hope to see you all next summer.
