Our Arillas adventure begins

Really looking to our first holiday in Arillas.  Having read some of the posts over the last few days, we can't wait for our fun in the sun!!

welcome to the forum Jacks. Have you been to Corfu before? Yes, you have picked well. Me and my family have been 4 times since 2001 and it will be 5th time in July. Many on hear have been probably 20 or maybe even more times. In fact, I wonder who has been the most? Some on the forum also live in Arillas having now made it their home.  Come on all - let's play Arillas top trumps. Who has been the most?

this is our 17th Year but there are many who have been 20+ years!

Hi Sonia - have been to Corfu once before but can't remember where. I was only 19, young and foolish!!  We have been to Tsilivi in Zante 3 times, it will be our 4th time in May. We love the Greek people, so friendly. We thought it would be a good idea to try another Greek Island, looks like we made a v good choice!

Definitely not me Sonia. I think it's 15 times now, and know of some with twice that number. Our milestone is that of the last 12 years, we have spent a whole one of them in Arillas.

We came to Arillas, 4 weeks every year, for 16 years before deciding to move here.

But.... I know there is a couple out there who have spent more holidays than us. - Just cannot remember their name.

When are you going, where are you staying? Not that it really matters, whenever you go and wherever you stay you will have an amazing time - I'm just being nosy again Arillas has a sly, clever, laidback way of capturing the heart. So much so, you may feel that you've left a part of you there on your return. I did, but I don't mind I just keep going back for more. Will you let us know what you think?

Hi cypress - we are flying out on the 24th July staying at the Mathraki studios for 10 nights with Thompsons. I stumbled across this forum last Friday and I feel I know everything about Arillas - it's fantastic! I will definitely report back - I'm sure it will be a glowing report 😀

Alan and his wife have been coming to Arillas the longest....have never met them but it must be nearly 30 years. 22 years for me.....

Steve and I first stayed in 1989 and have averaged at least once a year since then (- missed a couple of years here and there, but then have been more than once in other years) , but I'm pretty sure there are others who went earlier and/or have been more times.

My first time in Arillas was August 2013, went twice last year and going twice again this year

Mathraki is wonderful.  We love it there.

We are relative newbies to Arillas - this will be our 8th year in a row
