I read all the different threads about when we are all going back to Arillas and the most wonderful thing is the love and desire we all express for our part of heaven.
I have never deliberately met up with my friends on the forum perhaps because I love my time in Arillas to totally chill and relax.
You all seem to have too much of a social whirl!
Seriously I really enjoy reading the posts and occasionally chipping in.It helps get me from one visit to the next and if we should ever meet up I am sure it would be fun.

Wouldn't miss that part of it for anything, with many forum friends around us every summer.

But in the end we are there to be there. Walks on the beach. Reunions with our local and Greek friends. Swimming in the sea (or pools in Jen's case.) Mythos. Lazy afternoons picking at food and drink in Graziella. Did I mention Mythos? Sunsets. Peace. I could go on and on.

We steal many times when we have it to ourselves, including our end-of / out-of season pilgrimage in October. Many times we have heard or read on forum  "has anyone seen Phil and Jen?" And we just smile and get on with whatever we are doing. We never hide, but we almost never plan either, so each day brings whatever it brings. It is a wonderful mix.

We don't "plan" either - in September last year we met a lovely couple (Amanda and Alan) who were also staying at the Horizon.  We were chatting over breakfast and they asked what our plans were for the day and I simply replied - well, yesterday we turned right, so today we turn left... we vary our route and if we see someone we know (or even someone we don't know) we may stop and chat and then move on. We love the peace and solitude, but we also love the company of others.
For us, it's not a social whirl, but we love everyone we meet, however fleetingly

Phil has hit the nail on the head - as usual -

Long live Arillas and everyone who lives in, or loves, Arillas !!

Hi adairsl,    We never have a 'social whirl'....quiet days are spent by the pool, walking the circuit or on the beach.
We don't tend to meet too many forum members during the day, only by accident, never arranged.
Janis we will miss you this year as well, you go home the day we arrive in the evening.
We have never met but we did try in 2011.
We both accosted quite a few couples if I remember rightly, Lol....but I still count you as a friend, as I do many friends here on the forum who we have yet to meet.

Evenings we have our meal and then take a walk, Horizon, Coconut and Akti are where we tend to meet friends, but never usually arranged. If we see someone we know we will sit and chat, some times we recognise a face and will say hello but not intrude.

I think this is what Arillas is all about, you never need to arrange tight schedules, after all it's 'your' holiday......and holidays are for relaxing.

So adairsl not really a social whirl, but more of a drifting, it's so nice to chat and then make a friend, you can keep it as simple as you like.

Hope to meet you sometime,  until then keep in touch here,

forum friends,  Val and Bill x
The love affair continues.

Such a perceptive thread developing here. Shame about joer who asked about Dionyssos. Maybe he/she will benefit from it.

joer, Anywhere run by the Anthis brothers (Jimmy / Rainbow, Spiros / Anemos) will be excellent. Ask the thousands who have done it before you.

Maybe we should start another thread, The Arillas Social Whirl. Devoted to how one can learn to whirl around all the venues and how we deal with it.

Have a great holiday joer. I am certain you will.
