Holiday insurance
« on: June 21, 2011, 07:16:25 PM »
Hi
Can anyone point me in the direction of a fair price single trip family holiday insurance?
We got a good deal last year, but I can't find the old documents!

Thanks Dave

At least you get 4 options of cover level you can also add certain things that you personally may require .
The only thing i can't advise you on is what they are like if you make a claim as we never have

We use Columbus Direct. They are good if you have existing medical conditions as you can choose whether or not to have them covered (some existing/previous conditions are unlikely to cause hospitalisation, but other companies will penalise you for them)

Try a comparison site for best value...which may not necessarily the cheapest...

For anyone with medical conditions to take care of I can thoroughly recommend JLT Travel Insurance

http://www.jlttravel.co.uk

My partner was diagnosed with a malignant melanoma last year and JLT's annual policy for the both us, covering his MM was less that the cost of M&S's renewal quote - and they wanted more than double to cover for MM.

The best price deals I have aver had were from Atlas Direct and Flexicover.  Just google either and their sites will come up.Last year annual cover for me and Ann including some existing medical cover was £49 !!!!

I have managed to get some really low prices this year when I have searched. As always though, if they can wriggle out of paying up they will so read the small print. The year xl went bust, we had a horrendous delay and should have receives £125 but as we never got a letter from airline we were stuffed and obviously uncontactable due to the situation.1 question I have, this year we are bringing a friend for my eldesta.can I add him onto our 'family' insurance or should I tell his mum to sort?

think he will have to be living at the same address, probably easier on you to get his mum to sort it!
