Martin - Barry and I will definitely be at Brouklis on 21st May, as will our friends Joan and John.
I think it's a foregone conclusion that Viv and Pete will be....

We went on Pegasus to Erikousa last June for the day, and loved it.

Hey Janis, looks like we may get the chance to meet up again this year after all. There is a strong chance that I will be over on the 21st - it sounds like it's going to be a busy night so save me a place at Brouklis next to you and Barry just in case.
Geoff.

Janis, if you do try it, take a sun shade with you as there's no shelter at all on the beach.  The sea is lovely and calm for a swim.

We had a choppy crossing as we were taken across on the supply ferry and most of the seats were sideways (my daughter's not got sea legs and she was ill!).  We couldn't sit outside because of the food supplies but we were ok on the way back.  I'm not trying to put you off, just want you to be prepared as it's quite a long crossing.

On the plus side, we saw loads of dolphins on the way back which was one of the most fantastic sights I've ever seen.

Thanks for the advice, Cheryl - much appreciated.

T'will be good to see you again, Geoff! Dimitris always manages to rustle up extra chairs when needed, so I wouldn't worry!  See you soon

Well, I'm not one to change my mind (ok, sometimes I am!) but have said on this forum repeatedly that we always have our first meal at Brouklis... Not this time (sorry Dimitris!). As we arrive late on Friday our first meal will be Saturday 21st and we're booked to watch the Greek dancing at the Marina hotel! Brouklis next night (oh, that will be Sunday and spit roast lamb....!!! YES)

We spent the day at Erikousa a couple of years ago.  went over on 2 speed boats, very choppy on our return.  Lovely beach out of the way.  Also, Mathraki is nice, been over their a few times.  Should give it a go.  Not sure on boat times, but again a lovely island

Hi Martin, please forgive my ignorance, but where is Ageous Stefanous, please?

Cheers

It's actually San Stefanos - just over the headland from Arillas to the north

It may be your first time but probably not your last!
This year will be our 6th in Arillas and we always find something to do.
If you don't mind driving, hiring a car (from Theo's Rentals in Arillas) is a good way to explore. There's so much to see:
- the old ruined village of Perithea,
- the spectacular views from the top of Mount Pantokrator (and the village of Strinilas on the way up)
 -Kaiser's Seat,
- Achilleion Palace
- the old Fortress, Corfu town
- Mon Repos (museum and wonderful gardens with ancient ruins)
- Aqualand (if you like getting wet)
- and finally, sitting on the causeway at the end of the runway where the planes take your hat off!

The walk over the cliff to San Stefanos is a must do - and now there's a wonderful cafe/bar on the top of the hill for much needed refreshments.

We did a day trip to Albania last year (through Olga's Travel) which was fantastic, a real eye opener.  It's a long day but well worth doing.  It was extremely well organised too and I'd certainly book through Olga again.

Hope you have a wonderful time :-)

Erikousa sounds fab, especially the bit about the dolphins, that would be fabulous for the kids to see.  Has anyone else apart from Cheryl seen them? How much per person (inc kids) for this trip pretty please.  Is it just me or does that pic of the beach look like Arillas, circa 1960?!

I believe you can get a boat from San Stef, but not sure on the days.  Very peaceful and the water was so warm. Our friends have seen the dolphins by a play called deablow (not sure how to spell) a small group of islands on the way. I also think they have a festival their in August.
